Any recommendations for a free zip programme I can use for a few months until I get a new pc? I have looked at a few but would welcome recommendations. Thanks.

I've tried lots and I always come back to WinRar. Can't recommend it highly enough.

http://www.rarlab.com/

It's not free, but after the trial period it doesn't stop working, it just gives you a nag screen when you start it up reminding you to register

It's worth the hassle of the nag screen

TUGZip integrates neatly with Windows explorer and doesn't create any explorer issues (crashes etc - unlike some!) At least that's been my experience

ZipGenius is another free archive tool I've used; very good
