I got married in Greece, many of my friends came over for the wedding, but not everyone knew each other, I had also made new friends here, so it was really a bunch of people that I knew, and who knew me and didn't all know each other!!! We had the best night, it was a little quiet at first, before the drink started to flow, once everyone eased up a little we had a ball and didn't want the night to end. Some of the girls had come with their partners and husbands from the UK, so they came along as well as they had missed my husbands stag do, the men were also good friends of mine so it didn't matter.
The main thing is have everyone there that you want, it's your hen night and up to them to make it memorable for you, they will get on, don't worry and have a ball.

I have been on two hen nights in the past three years; both were older women; one was a second marriage; the other was my sister's, first time. My friend marrying for the second time invited us for a mad weekend down to her sisters country home; only a few of us knew each other; we went out to a pub on the Friday night; stayed up all night; next day we split into small groups and went shopping, and came home to start a barbeque; at that stage, some of the husbands arrived and blended in very well, and we had a wonderful evening, with us all gradually departing next day.
my sister's hen night was all female, in HER local. Just lots of drinkies; several male friends got in on it during the evening, but when we went back to the house, it was all female.
It's completely up to you! I think a mix is nice; gay men will LOVE the girly thing. your straight male friends may have a problem with it; but they may also say, WOO-hoo!
It's whatever you would like; I think your friends might be intrigued by the idea of a mixed hen night. go on . I dare you.

don't worry Hun I'm sure they will all get on so don't worry if they don't no each other its tough if they don't its ur night. I had the same problem, lots of male Friends gay and straight, in fact more male friends then female. The males are Friends with My now hubby so it was a case of who do they go with, i was saying but they were my friends first, he was saying but there male. In the end we had a joint stag and hen due lol. all the hens left by 12 i was out with all the stags till 3, had a fab night. the night before i stayed in with a couple of girls he went to local with a couple of men so we wasn't together that night. Its all tradition so id do what u want to do. I mean who's traditional now when it comes to weddings? lol. we all live altogether before we get married. so sod what everyone else wants you to do. I hope u have fantastic night whatever you decide to do.

1) As to being exclusively for girls, I'd say that's entirely up to you it's your hen night invite whoever you want, I had male friends at my hen night and didn't regret it.
2) Again I'd say it has to be your preference, I'd say it might be easier with a small group of mates who know each other well, but only you know whether there are other people you'd regret not including who aren't part of the group.

As a gay man with six married sisters the only men who should be at a hen night are the strippers/kissograms unless your fiance knows your gay friends and oks it they can go, any men gay or straight at a hen night can and has in the past many time caused problems. Goodluck and enjoy

By definition a 'hen night' is for girls only. But who says you have to have a 'hen night'? Do your own thing.

You can invite males, but make sure your fiance is comfortable with this (that's why traditionally only invite gay men if men at all - because they won't try anything on, or let you try anything on them).
I think a group who doesn't know everyone else is fine. It can be very handy if someone is getting the nerves of someone else from their group, that you don't know about.

You can invite anyone you want to, to your hen night. You don't have to have all girls. As long as you have the people who you want there then that is all that matters
