I do Tae-kwon Do, and flexibilty is really important. You need it to perform high kicks and stuff like that. Just keep stretching. If you are in school (primary or high) your body and it's muscles will still be growing. I take it you are female, and we are not as powerful as males. But we have more flexibility, and try speeding every thing up. As my instructor said a male with a knife will give you time to defend yourself. A female, you smile at them in greeting, then your looking at your guts on the floor.

Dance from your center and use the floor. Dancing looks too stiff or too loose when performed with your arms and legs. Dancing looks flexible and powerful when it comes from your center. Keep your center strong, be aware of it at every moment. Pilates is a good system to get your center stronger if you need to.

do some research on contortion. Contortionists are extremely flexible...and at the same time, very strong. It's an amazing art in my opinion. My advice to you is to be loose...but put some attitude into it. What kind of dancing do you do?

To be flexible practice stretching every day for 5 minutes at least. To be more powerful practice kicking and punching pillows as hard as you can everyday for at least 5 minues too. Maybe that'll help!
