There is always room for doubt but there is always the question of whether the doubt is reasonable under the circumstances.

I agree. I have always upheld the philosophy be skeptical of everything, but be prepared for the possiblity of anything. There might always be room for doubt but it's just a matter of how much room. Someone could bust into my apartment right now and hold me up with a gun, but I doubt it enough where I'm not going to sit next to the door with a bat. Just like the power could be out at work tomorrow and I won't have to go in. But I doubt that will happen so I will set my alarm. If you believe in the possiblity of anything then you automatically believe that something coudn't happen just as much as it could.

I definitely agree with this statement... We need to give people "the benefit of a doubt"...and think seriously before acting...

When dealing with something that is an opinion, or an assumption, yes. When dealing with absolutes ("touching a hot stove will hurt") only the foolish will continue to doubt.

No I disagree with that. Not "Always" is there! If someone is DEAD they're dead. And many other aspects of humanity, life, the world, the universe. In many instances such could be the case, perhaps even most often if dealing with questions, views, thoughts etc. about things. But no, not "Always".

the statement "There is ALWAYS room for doubt" remains true for the simple fact that the one thing in this world that will never change is change itself. because there will always be change there will always be room for doubt. there will always be room for doubt because we fear what we don't know.

in other term "benefit of the doubt"
sometimes the situation calls for this mindset like venturing into some big-time investments, major decisions that needs thorough thinking, but sometimes positive thinking is also good.

This wasn't a very sure individual who said this. He may be right due to the nature of human perspective being an indirect connection to reality. But by all logical means to never be sure of anything is neurosis.

o yah... i agree with that. it's because all the things in this world, and even the world itself are uncertain. we aren't sure if all that we can see and experience are real. it is possible that our senses our only deceiving us and all this things were just illusion.
but if you want to live a simple life do not believe doubts and do not doubt your beliefs
