Jesus Christ is the son of God who was sent by God as man to be born of Mary to save the sinners on earth.
Mohammad is a prophet of Muslim God (Allah) but not considered the son of God.
Moses was also a prophet and was made as God for the Israel people. He was given a limited power of God by God himself to let the Israel people believe that there is God existing.

In Islam Christ is the ideal person. More so than Muhammad. Christ never sinned, was born of a virgin and performed many miracles in Islam.
Muhammad is special in Islam, because he is the last prophet and the one who came to retell or set straight the story.

each prophet came with different abilities.
jesus was only a prophet. it's written in the Qur'an and God knows its true so you having a little squabble here really won't make any difference. it won't change my mind or those of other true believing muslims- it really doesn't do anything other than hurt you. but hey its your life at the end of the day.
Prophet Muhammed certainly did perform miracles and if you read up on them with a clean heart and mind you might actually learn something. but it's quite clear that you've made up your mind.
the qur'an is a miracle. it was revealed to an illiterate man and has remained unchanged since that time and will continue to remain unchanged till the judgement day. Can any other holy book hold that title? is that not a miracle????
there are verses in there the secret of which is known only to God-is that not a miracle?
the qur'an lists science discoveries that no one could have known at the time it was revealed. is not that a miracle? the bible can't even compete with the qur'an in this category. the qur'an describes how the fetus develops-perfectly!!!which other holy book can do that?
God knew that the science age was coming and He made sure that His last book till the Judgement Day held true. He didn't need miracles 'cuz it was all about science!!!!!!!!!!!

Muhamad is a father, husband, grandfather,a teacher,a prophet,a statesman,a businessman etc..so complete. The most important he left behind was the Holy Quran and his Sunnah. It's 1400 years the quran and his teachings is still growing. That's the miracle of Allah. All miracles are from the Lord. Not Jesus.Islam belongs to Allah the GOD that is worthy of Worshipped, and the not any other person/thing.

I would like to correct you....Prophet Mohammad did perform a lot of miracles which have already been illustrated in Habayeb's and Hurricane's answers, and there are many more...we muslims consider the Holy Qur'an the biggest of the miracles..also during Prophet Muhammad's time more people had come to Islam than in Jesus' time.

Do you know what happened to the last peoples that questions Gods law and truth?
God does not judge prophets on superiority.
The prophet Muhammad(pbuh) was a miracle and performed many read the Holy Quran, but then the person to clarify this will be Jesus (As) on his return.

Prophets are not magicians or stunt men or heaers. They are appionted to provide the guidance for a life of peace with God.Jesus himsel said that I shall not show any miracle except that of Jonnah. So what is attributed to him like giving life to dead curing the lepors were just metaphors but he could convert a few people as his disciples during his acknowledged tenure but what was the level of their spiritual elevation due to Jesus in those diciples is not reckoned.Instead some superstitions are attributed to him that he removed evil spirits cured lepors and blind but it was not his principal assignment. It tantamounts to praising a policeman for good mending of shoes etc.

in the Chrisitan & Muslim faith Jesus is the way the Chrisitians see it & to the Muslims Jesus is Isa (if i am not mistaken).
Its just the way that you look at it. The way I see it is that they both the one of the same people & they brought two religions into the world, which are equally great religions.
Its just the way that the Quraan/Koran & the Bible differentiate the way that things are said. But I am sure that most of the stuff said are similiar. Believes too.
Religions are Religions. Mohammed was a Prophet & so was Jesus. They just differentiate to which was the last Prophet. The way i see it is that they are both the Sons of God & they both brought good to the world

I can't believe Muslims would even quote the bible.
Misunderstanding the scriptures and twisting to make it look like it is talking about Muhamad.
But, they won't believe that same bible they quote when it concerns other scriptures. So you have to dismiss entirely they things they say.
The bible says things like ...Jesus is the Son of God. But this they don't want to quote. Either you think the bible is true or its false. If its true, then all of it is. Not what you pick and choose.
1 John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Colossians 3:1
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
If your only gonna pick and choose what the bible says. Leave it alone.
If you want people to take you seriously when you quote the bible, then you must believe the whole bible. You have no business trying to prove anything in the bible, if you yourself don't believe in the words in it.
Revelation 5:9
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
Muhamad didn't fullfill this scripture above. He didn't die for all nations. He doesn't LOVE as Jesus Loved. Jesus is the only one Worthy to open the Book.
Muhamad doesn't give people the power to be called the Sons of God
John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

very good question. I say its because, and ill get a million thumbs down for this, but the truth kinda stings, sometimes:
1) allah does not exist, so how can he have a prophet?
Basically Muhammad was not a prophet. He just saw that violence dould not controll all people ,so he used his head and thought "I cant physically force them, so ill brainwash them"
2) Jesus was not a prophet but the son of God. That is why he could do all those things, That is y people liked him, they saw God in him. He was charasmatic because he was sincere and somehow, humans seem to be able to find that quality in a person quite attractive.
Because of these reasons, no matter how hard poor old Muhammad tried, he would never be able to measure up to Jesus. Not even if he really was a prophet.
