What do U mean by the dark age ? Islam is the religion that teaches mankind to read, write and learn. Islam teaches mankind to put on clothes and protect their dignity.For the safety of mankind, Islam also teaches mankind to eat good and healthy food and forbid some plants and animals from taking them for food. Islam also teaches us time with the changes of day and night and many others which mankind do not know. Now, who is in the dark age ? Think of it.

I will strongly suggest that, you research Islam yourself ,fully and then you wouldn't need answers to you question. The teachings of Islam is one of peace and togetherness. There are few, that have interpreted it to suit their own needs and wants, however that doesn't portray the majority all over the globe.You can answer your own question by opening your mind to the actual teachings of Islam and especially of Prophet Mohammed S.A.W., and not what's being portrayed by the media for T.V ratings.

Quite difficult ..... Christianity still hasn't come out from the dark ages .... yet. If we were to take that into consideration ..... perhaps after Christians came out from the dark ages, we can count from there.

Why should they? What makes it a requirement to upgrade to something that isn't any better? What many people call progress, others call an unnecessary waste. And what is it that makes us the judge of what others should do?

Maybe we should have a campaign to change the Amish. We could set up picket lines and call them intolerant, backward, and things like that. After all we don't want them to miss out on our great society that we have. You know like, teen pregnancy, drugs, abortion, video games, gangs, senseless violence, "free will", and all the other great advancements that we have. But most important shut down their schools so they have to go to public schools where they can learn the great knowledge that we all have.
