He is probably not aware how he comes across. Give him a chance to change before you marry him. A good man will be willing to try to change this aspect of himself for his own sake.

You must gently tell him that you find him a little rude at times, and that you are more attracted to him when you see him being kind to others. You would feel better if he treated others as well as he treats you.

I used to be less polite and less kind because I was less secure. I was too shy to be courteous, and too insensitive of the impression I was giving. He needs to get onto a road where being kinder and more polite is rewarding by feeding his self-esteem.

You can help him with that by praising or complimenting him every time he shows kindness to others. Say things like

- "That was very nice what you said to that person." or

- "I liked the way you treated that person."

- "You showed a lot of patience with that person even though they were being difficult."

- "That was a really nice gesture you made. I bet it was really appreciated."

Then, the more you let him see himself as a kind person, the more he will respond to that.

OMG don't even consider marriage to someone who you feel that you need to change

I can tell you by experience that the things you dn't like about a guy get ten times worse when married.

He should be polite. It sounds like you maybe need to think twice about this relationship

depends on the guy.

He sounds like macho type. If other factors seem okay, he's okay, just rude. Everyone has their flaws. If he's got a few more flaws, move on.
