Do you really need a school just for french? What about audio books to learn french. You will learn french from audio books in no time!

Since I don't know your level of schooling, or your location, or how far you'd go (in miles) to find a school that teaches the language, I'd say a good bet would be to buy a computer program that virtually teaches it. Or order a copy of "Holt French Level 1, Allez, Viens!" (with integrated multimedia). Its a set of a student textbook, workbooks (2), audio program (on cd), and 5 videos (vcr), for the average high school student. My school let me borrow them.
I went to a high school, Curtis High School, in Staten Island, New York, that taught French. Then I moved, and decided to self-study, because my current school doesn't have a French class. They just teach Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish.

Rosetta Stone. My friend moved to France and her company provided Rosetta Stone in addition to a private tutor. After 3 months she was very conversational and at 6 months she is intermediate in French. I would highly suggest it. It's less expensive than school and you can learn on your own time. You can usually find the software in your local mall at a Kiosk, at a Barnes & Nobles or amazon.com. It's pricey, $175 for part one and a little less than $300 for both systems, but it will be far less than a school and/or private tutor. Good Luck!

Did you ever think of the possibility of asking a francophone to teach you as you'd teach him yours?
I'd do it myself if you had another (language I didn't already know!) to reciprocate with.
