HEY..there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Your 39 and he is 27. SO WHAT!!! Your both adults!! He is not a minor..I don't know why people are tripping. Let me tell you this..age is just a number..Ive dated older people that act like there 16 and dated younger men who were more responcible and acted like their 35! If all depends on the person and what experiences they have had in life that made them who they are and it goes for young women too. I hate it...I see it all the time, older guys looking for 18 year old girls..and also guys in there 40's have women who are in their 20's too...but for some reason its wrong for a women to do that?! Its stupid! A young women that dates an older man can be as stupid and naive too, or very mature. I was 19 when I met my daughters father and he was 35, it lasted 11 and a half years so far! Yeah..there will always be people having there comments, but people always have something to say..no matter what! Don't listen..follow your heart. Tomarrow ain't promised, this is YOUR existence..be happy today!

Love knows no age. At 27 and 39, maturity is more important than age.

I do not think there's too much age difference, but none of us are in your relationship. It's between the two of you. I agree with the post previously that had the points to consider, and here are a few of mine:
- Do you both share the same opinions on children?
- If there are already children involved, do you agree on discipline styles?
- Do you share the same future goals (like do you both want to get married in the future?)
- Do you share the same ideas on drugs and alcohol? (This is from my own experience with relationships with age differences--the guys I knew always were into one or the other)
If either of you have differing ideas on any of these, one of you will be compromising what you desire in life, and it's a big blinking light to take a step back and decide if you or he is willing to "settle" for less than what you ultimately want.

I don't believe it is a problem now but it may be a problem in 20 years if you are still together. Some people never find an age difference to be an issue and it does depend upon the people themselves as to whether or not down the track it becomes a problem. You know yourself and your partner better than anyone so you should ask yourself.

ONLY when 1 or both of them continue to ponder the question.... IS THIS TOO MUCH OF AN AGE DIFFERENCE.
Then it becomes a problem. Then you start to look for things to use as excuses at every turn to deny yourself happiness..... age, financial problems, religious beliefs, child rearing differences, or ... I want another boy, well I want a girl.
That is just too nit picky to be fussin' over... all the while your making each other miserable. WHY??? Life is too short.

No.. AGE is only a number.. The important considerations are:
1) Are u happy and comfortable to be with him?
2) Is he caring and loving?
3) Can he support you financially?
4) Is he genuine or just want you for his lust?

WHY IS IT WHEN A 50 YEAR OLD MAN DATES A 18 YEAR OLD GIRL NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE, BUT WHEN A WOMAN DATES A YOUNGER MAN IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD???
Age is just a number. If he's mature, legal and makes you happy it doesn't matter.

No, as a matter of fact it is a growing trend for the female to be older than the male. Additionally, I have been married for over nine years to a loving wife who is older than me. All my friends, who married younger, now have at least one divorce on they're records. Plus, my brother even married a older woman and his marriage has turned out very well.
Don't be afraid to date younger men. It works out for the both of you. Remember, it is the personality which matters most.

I think and age difference between 10 to 15 isn't that bad, more than that, It seems ridiculous to me. My ex boyfriend was 10 years older than me.

go for it .you can`t waste you life worrying about what other people will think .
If you were 27 and he was 15 that wouldn`t be a good idea ,but your not ,your both adults and its no ones business apart from the two of you.
good luck i hope it works out for you
