There is ONLY ONE WAY TO THE FATHER.
John 14:6 through John 14:7 (NKJV) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
The word "way" in the above scripture means a road and by implication it means "a progress" (the route, act or distance). Figuratively it means a mode or means. Consider the following reference scriptures regarding Jesus being the way.
John 10:7 through John 10:10 (NKJV) Then Jesus said to them again, "Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Jesus is the door or the entry point to the Body of Christ, which implies those who are saved. We again see here that Jesus is the Way to salvation, which is reconciliation to God. Another way of looking at this verse is that of access to the sheepfold (See John 10:1-2).
Acts 4:12 (NKJV) Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

If you have the holy bible I believe it would help you a lot to read it. In order to get to god as you put it you must believe in his name, confess that you know you are a sinner and are sorry and turn from your sinful ways. when you mess up confess it before God and he will forgive your sins. This is as long as you are truly sorry and are going to try not to do it again. I do not advise meditation or anything like that. It can be very dangerous and get you to the wrong source/sources and not god. Just get a bible and read it and if you want to know the basics of everything read the first book of John in the Holy bible. Ok. If you have anymore questions you can feel free to ask me.

Every serious seeker of spirituality knows the way to God... talk to god every moment of his life. Every enlightened soul having gained enlightenment comes face to face with God.
For knowing God we initially need to take control of our five senses and then mind. Having achieved that one reaches the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi... the stage of nothingness. Apart from taking control of our senses and the mind... we also need to practise absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years.
Subsequently following the path of Neti (not this, not this) as practised and advocated by Maharishi Ramana... one finally reaches the kingdom of God.
It is only after gaining enlightenment one reaches the stage of salvation (aka moksha in Hinduism). Mahavira followed this path and so did Gautama Buddha. Followed them Jesus Christ and prophet Mohammed. All became man gods in their lifetime. Having gained enlightenment all could communicate with Almighty God every moment of their life. well PAPPU...i can only share my religion...as my evil counterparts and HYPOCRITES would kill you to believe i simply want to share it is up to you on how you digest it...
first off I am Muslim
Allah .SWT. commanded first in the Bible to NOT have ANY other gods before Him or in His name. this was the very FIRST commandment...now...this commandment in modern day and to all the ppl after the Bible are also commanded to ONLY WORSHIP GOD AS HE HAS COMMANDED. in Islam, we do not partner Allah .SWT. with any human, prophet or anything to the contrary... Allah SWT created the Heavens, the Earth, the animals, and Adam and Eve and He told them to be fruitful and muliply...Allah did all of this...all by Himself...so it is only Him (God) that deserves the praise and worship and prayer. and it will be God who calls the final hour. la illah illa. translated from Arabic...NONE HAS THE RIGHT TO WORSHIP EXCEPT ALLAH.

my choise is meditation.and also depends on your opinion about god,god can be different for all of us,like for a person starved for few days a small grape is also god a drop of water is god.depends on what your looking for.meditation is about looking for god in side your self.

god is in your heart
from the heart to the mind to know of god is to know to realise god by his signs
light ,sustaining life to love
light life reason , love , truth ,good ,reason ,will ,purpose ,
god is perfect all else but an imperfect reflection
god is grace /has grace
find god by living as grace full as you can
live csimply
so others can simply live
love god
love neighbour
we are all heirs of the only eternal
the only good
the only true
the only perfect.
