I think I may be depressed, what medications are out there to help me with this?

I am married and I have a one year old daughter. I am 22 and we moved to new town where I do not have any friends yet. I would like to meet people but I am shy. I am staying at home with my baby now so i never get out of the house. I need to find things to do that are cheap or free and that my daughter would enjoy as well.

You sure could be. From another post, I'd say you have reason to be. You're dealing with a lot and under a lot of stress. Do you have anyone you can talk to? You should consider talking to a counselor. If you actually need medication, there are all kinds of new meds out there that work well. OTOH, if you had someone to talk to who could help you figure out some of your problems, you might not need medicine.

If you don't have medical, there are places to get help for free or on a sliding scale. Don't let that keep you from getting help. If you don't know who to go to, ask your doctor for a referral.

A little help now could pay off later on. You owe it to yourself and your daughter. {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}

Yes, it's possible that you could be depressed but pls see your dr to have this evaluated. Also, sometimes depression can be a symptom of something physical going on such as with the thyroid as one example. Your dr is the one that can best help you figure out what is going on.

What you have to do is , find some good friend in which you can go out for lunch or window shopping, so you can get out of the same routine, i did it , it really worked.
