I sometimes have that as well. I don't know what they are called so i just call them bumps. If this bump progresses to become red and a little painful, then a zit is coming, otherwise, it will just heal itself and go down.

There aren't many things you can do about acne except to keep clean. Wash your face at least twice a day which you have been doing and especially after you perspire. Keep your hands away from your face- they are the most dirty places of your body and might induce acne. Don't pick, poke your acne unless you want scars. Treat acne as gently as possible. Make sure you are using the correct kind of cleanser- most people always make the mistake that acne need the harshest cleanser but No!!. Use a mild cleanser preferably one with glycerin or sorbitol.

Apply pimple cream(benzoyl peroxide works- try low strength first) on the area with acne and avoid the sun. Sun can worsen your acne and darken those pimple marks. Apply sunblock if you really must go out in the sun. If your face is the oily kind, there is no need to apply any moisturizer, your face oils are enough to keep skin hydrated. If you really must, apply an oil-free one.

EAT HEALTHY! I know you are but I'm just adding to make sure you are not missing anything. This is important, cut down on sugar intake especially breakfast. Take less bread, cornflakes, potatoes. Your diet should also consist of lots of vitamin C and A and E and Omega-3,they are important for the skin.

If that doesn't help, its time to see a dermatologist. Go to one that is good preferably at a National hospital. The medications and creams they prescribe really do work but aren't miracles so don't expect to see results in a few days. These therapies need weeks!

Last note, acne is a chronic skin disease and by chronic it means long-term so you are in for a long battle but cheer up, you are not fighting alone, I know it because I have been fighting it all through my teens.

I know how frustrating this is. I am thinking that it could be a cyst. Sometimes it takes long while before becomes breakable. If you can even make a small hole in it, I would break the skin a bit and then put some perfume on it. It may sting for a sec but the next day, you should get a head. Break it, soften a washcloth with water as hot as you can stand and use that and then perfume again. Repeat the next day.
As a general thing, with hazel that you can buy anywhere is a great astringent to use. I have tried everything and a new acne face wash has come out by Panoxyl. I love it. Don't use too much acne cream on it cuz that will only dry it out. My mother who has wonderful skin grows aloe and breaks open a leave and spreads it on her face. Let me know if any of this helps and if not, I will think of something else. Good luck!

I took my daughter to a specialist because she had what she called underground zits that were hard and they hurt. She also had regular Acne. There are several treatments out there that work really well. One is a pill. It is so strong and very expensive. If you are a girl you have to be on two forms of birth control to make sure you don't get pregnant because it would cause the child to have medical problems. The other that I am aware of is a blue light treatment. They wash your face with a chemical. Then they put another chemical on your face and put you under the bluelight. My daughter had this done and she has beautiful skin. Everyone comments on how beautiful her skin is. There is also a product called Zeno. You buy this for about 250.00 dollars and then you put this little machine on the zit and zap it and it goes away before it starts. Hope this helps.

Some acne is caused by the normal flora (bacteria) that lives on your skin naturally. Or it could be from increased oil production. There are actually more potential causes. As for the hard bump- it could be a sebacious cyst. You need to see a dermatologist. It sound like you've done everything right. You may need some doxycycline antibiotics. There are some prescription creams too. I used to get mild acne and I used pure zone from Loreal. It worked well. Don't use Noxema- it has oil in it. Make sure your facial cleanser does not contain oil. And be careful not to dry your face out too much, because it will make you produce more oil on your skin.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

Sounds like you're doing all the right things that is possible on your own. I think it's time to see a dermatologist - they can really offer a lot of good treatments: medication, treatments, etc. Also, ProActive is really a good choice.
I really understand where you're coming from and I hope you get the help you want!
