Dreaming is your brains filling process. It logs information gathered, experiences and thoughts and categorizes them. Dreams, whilst often not recognizable to you, are these pieces of data. Maybe your brain is just confused over something and is trying to figure it out.
I have horrific nightmares (abused) about the randomest stuff. I do believe in the psychic side of dreams to a certain extent, as my partner and I dreamed the same bizarre and complex dream at the same time, very odd.
But if it does symbolize something...don't worry, it will become apparent in due time, and as dreams are rarely literal I am sure nothing dire is about to happen!
I take a herbal insomnia formula, which gives me fairly dreamless nights. It contains Valerian, passionflower and magnesium. Try these or just the Valerian if you don't have much cash.
Also drink milk or hot chocolate just before you sleep. Milk contains an amino acid called L-tryptophan, which helps you sleep soundly.
I do hope I have helped as I know full well how disturbing dreams can be, and how rotten it is to not sleep.
Good luck and sound sleeping!

i have, to this day, one recurring dream since as long as i could remember... it's like a pattern... i do dream this very same dream VERY frequently though...

i dream that i could fly.......... but it's not a FULL fly, it's more like i'm swimming in the air... and at times, i'll reach a high elevation and once i reach that peak, i start to fall... sometimes, i'll fall really fast and wake up before i hit the ground (i think i'd die if i were to ever hit the ground)... on other times, i fall slowly and i'm able to land back on the ground without waking up...

maybe your stressed about something.. i remember when my aunt passed away, i dreampt about her frequently after she passed. same with my grandfather... and i also dream about things that i tend to stress over... but don't be afraid... and are you superstitious? if you are, then that's why you being freaked out, but we're all different.. if you believe your dreams mean something, then you should look into it...

you know what would be really cool? if there is a website/book that has a list of types of dreams and their meanings....

Dreams are the subconscious way to sort thing out in your brain . Often dreams don't mean a thing. Sometimes your dreams are your brain working on some issue.

Try this. When you go to bed at night you say outloud to yourself. "I don't need to have this dream anymore. I can deal with this dream I don't need to have it anymore. If I do have the dream I can and will stop the dream and sleep"

This can often help the first night. If not, each night before you go to bed say this to yourself.

Let me know if it works

The first poster is probably right. Think back on any big events that occurred recently, and examine how you feel about it. If you need to talk to someone, or let it out, find a good friend who can listen and sort it out with him/her.

Dreams of flying are very common. More than a third of the population reports having had at least one flying dream. This website may help: http://members.aol.com/caseyflyer/flying/dreams10.html

MY GUESS IS THAT YOU ARE AFRAID OF SOMETHING AND FLYING IS TO KEEP FROM FACING THAT FEAR. SOUNDS LIKE YOU ALSO TAKE SOMEONE THAT MAKES YOU FEEL SAFE. FOR A ACCURATE ANSWER I WOULD CHECK OUT A BOOK ABOUT DREAMS IN THE LIBRARY, OR DO RESEARCH FINDING IDEAS IN THE WEB.
A REPEATED DREAM USUALLY DOES HAVE A MEANING BEHIND IT. GOOD LUCK

i read once that when you have recurring dreams, it just means that your brain has something that it's trying to sort out. after my dog died, i kept having the same dream of him for two weeks straight. eventually my recurring dreams went away, so i'm sure yours will too! i wouldn't worry about what the dreams mean too much...i believe that dreams are just your mind trying to sort situations out in your life, not an actual prediction of the future.

You need to change your focus on some other situation. Imagine yourself as a queen who has just won miss world award next time you sleep.

BAD DREAMS ARE BROUGHT BY THE DEVIL AND ITS EVIL SPIRITS. THE ONLY CURE IS READING A PSALM FROM THE BIBLE BEFORE BED TIME AND USING THE LIVING BLOOD OF JESUS AND PRAYING THIS KIND OF PRAYER WHICH I HAD GIVEN BELOW. THE DEVIL AND ITS EVIL SPIRITS TREMBLE AND RUN AWAY FROM AN EVIL SPIRIT POSSESSED PERSON WHEN YOU SAY THAT YOU ARE SPRINKLING THE BLOOD OF JESUS ON THAT PERSON.
"LORD JESUS CHRIST, MY CREATOR GOD! I SPRINKLE YOUR BLOOD ON MYSELF. I THANK YOU FOR THE PROTECTION YOUR BLOOD GIVES ME EVERY SECOND OF MY LIFE. I KNOW THAT THE DEVIL AND ITS SPIRITS CANNOT GIVE ME BAD DREAMS AS I AM COVERED BY YOUR LOVING LIVING BLOOD. GIVE ME AND MY LOVED ONES A SWEET SLEEP IN THE NIGHT AND MAKE US SEE A BEAUTIFUL DAY. AMEN
