Listen to Allaah's words, follow them.

Besm Allah Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem

Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with him; but he forgiveth anything else, to whom he pleaseth; to set up partners with Allaah is to devise a sin most heinous indeed.[
(Qur'an)
But if the thief repent after his crime, and amend his conduct, Allah turneth to him in forgiveness; for Allaah is oft forgiving, most merciful.(Qur'an)

God is the judge. He will decide at the end whether it will be heaven or hell. But universally this is accepted as a sin. Nothing unclean can stand before God. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God because homosexuality was prevalent in those two cities. Lot's (Abraham's brother) family was saved because they did not follow that. This was centuries ago. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. If homosexuality was wrong during the time of Abraham, then it is wrong even now.

Yes, one sin is the same as the others. Also it says in John 3:3, that we must be born again to see the kingdom of God. All unrepentant sinners will go to hell until they make it right with God and accept Jesus as their savior. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. There is no other way! Here is a website that tells the truth about salvation through Jesus Christ.

No. Being Gay is not a choice nor is the sexual desires or love being gay is part of our humanity just as being straight is for most people for some reason some of us both in the animal and human realm were born gay. Renmember that Mohammed never said a word on homosexuality or even sexual matters like other Boddhisatvas he had a lot to say on love, forgiveness, compassion and matters of living practicalyy. The only thing that might be construed as refering to Gay people was his saying for those that differ sexualy if they remain chaste they will be welcomed into heaven like matryers are, as for the ones who cannot be chaste he said ABSOLUTELY nothing. The idea of homosexuality being sinfull is one born of fear , prejuduce and self loathing. It is funny that so many are quick to condemn gays for theyre sexuality but say nothing towards mass murderers like Osama Bin Laden or of people killing in the name of god be whoever that is.

As far as I know from Christianity, "no sin is greater than the other" so it seems that this would qualify as one sin.

I'd think that if he tried at all times to live his life to please God which means fighting his sexual temptation in body and mind that he would be ok and enjoy whatever after life Islam is supposed to have for him.

A person can be gay but not active sexually. So, no matter what your beliefs are, KNOWING you are gay is NEVER a sin !
