Drug addicts are all over the United States now, and yes many of them work. Some work in different jobs some work for themselves have their own businesses, some are doctors, lawyers, dentist, prosecuting attorneys, judges, police. Some are poor people and high school and college students. Some are factory workers and some fast food workers or other menial labor jobs. Some are actually disabled in some ways. So we have a mixture of people that are strung out on drugs now, and they generally tend to use different kinds and their drug use varies.

The poor people are the ones that are likely to get caught for providing for their habits or do not have the money to get good legal representation to get themselves out of it or are not in the social clicks so it makes it look like only the ones that don't have good jobs are using and misusing drugs.

That is not true and furthermore many times poor people do not use and are not addicted. I don't want the legal drugs or the illegal drugs being pushed on me. It is sad that this misperception exist and that poor people are looked at like this, many times poor people do work and still can't make ends meet that is another issue, still it hurts the people that do what is right with any help that they may be able to get.

It is true that if there is any economical benefit (eg. if a drug makes a person work harder or get more energy to work), the drug will not only be legalised but also aggressively pushed to every part of the country. This is what psychiatry is doing at this point and time, the bad thing is they are pushing them not only on adults, but also children. They do this through what they call court ordered medical treatment. Now the courts order people to take drugs and give them to their children too so you can't hardly get away from it.

However, most drugs makes people dull, inactive, sick and lazy contributing to unemployment rates, crime rates, as well as rising government spendings on health costs. This is right on! Drugs mess peoples lives up because they mess their thinking up. Then they can be said to be disabled with a brain disease called mental illness, since there is no scientific valid and reliable facts for these things to be brain disease. This is simply another form of pushing drugs, but it is legal and there is nothing that one can do about it. NAMI which is at least, if not more than, 50% drug company funded does this. This organization has been corrupted by the drug companies.

It is not actually an affect on the brain so much as it is an affect on a persons life that we many times see from the drug use. Although these drugs can do some real and serious lasting brain damage over time, it is proven.

They steal. Drug addiction has seriously contributed to the rising crime rates like theft, robbery and even murder.

You dont need to work if you are a drug addict. Your company i.e your friends are all addicted on the same drug on which you are. So they share the drugs with one another.

I have seen many addicts whom work.
Also I have known many whom have been arrested for breaking, entering, burglary, robbery, assault.

Do not know why, but I see their levels of addiction are different.

It does seem that when they turn to crime, the drugs may have had a consequentual lifetime affect on the brain.
