What happens after you die?

There is no soul sleep of the righteous. The bible clearly says:
2Co 5:8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. (ESV Translation)

Only the damned sleep in their graves.
1Co 15:51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

Those that have died in Christ now reside in heaven as spiritual beings. Since Christ, the second person of the Godhead, has always existed, the elect of God have been known to Him before Christ actually walked the earth. So anyone who has died since the world began exists in heaven or in the grave as described above.

The spiritual bodies of the righteous will result from the joining of their heavenly natures with their resurrected bodies at the second coming of Christ at the final judgment.

Those that are damned will awake from their sleep to be judged and join Satan in their separation from God in Hell.
2Th 1:9 They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,

After you die the spirit returns to the Father of all the souls and it gets judge on what you did in the flesh. The goal is not to die without accepting Gods saving grace in His Son Jesus!

This depends on the state of awareness that you have developed in present life. If you "casted off the body" or started to experience the out of body feelings suddenly,
you first accept that you no longer in the world of the living human beings.
then you become aware of what you can do and what you can do learning just like a new born human being.
the faster you achieve this the better as you can sleep and experience the playback of this and past lives, this gives you a feeling of hell or heaven as per your deeds in the lives.
then you will wake up and try to find the next suitable body to try to finish the back log of karma.

the next step after death is the 2nd coming of Jesus when he raises the dead. and the follower of Christ are taken to heaven. there is no after life, unless u are talkin about with Jesus. but if you die, u dont go directly to heaven or hell. that is what takes place at the end of time

in the bible it say that the dead know nothing.
Psalms-146:4... His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
Eccl- 3:20... All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Eccl-12: 7... Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

but the spirit that goes to God is not our concious spirit, therefore we can't experience heaven like u see on tv. the bible says that ghost are devils performing miracles to decieve people. i hope this helps

Well...your question is very open ended.

After I die, there will probably be a funeral.

Also...at the end of the world, everyone who is not righteos will be judged by God. for "there is no judgement for the righteous" the problem is "there is no one righteous, no not one" the solution is JESUS. Poof...and the sins are gone.

If you're not saved then you will go to heaven. But if you believe that God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for your sins, and if you put your whole faith in Him, then you will be saved and go to Heaven.
