its what girl power witchie wanna be's, and other satanists use to contact satan, and make sacrificial offerings to him. they like to stand naked in a pentagram drawn on the floor and sacrifice small animals to satan, while deluding themselves into thinking they are doing magic, fools.

The pentagram is a star that when enclosed in a circle (pentacle)represents many things:

Upright it stands for the human body, or the five elements: Earth, air, fire, water, and spirit.

Inverted: Used to be used to banish evil spirits until Hollywood and other people began to say that it was a sign of the devil. Now many Wiccans and Pagans (who have NOTHING to do with the Christian Devil/Satan, because they don't believe in him or any other ultimate evil) just use the upright pentacle and draw it backwards to ward off evil.

I hope this info helped! :D

Well...
With the top point facing downward, it's commonly a Satanic symbol; usually has a goat head in the center. Can't really explain what it means because I'm not too too well versed with Satanism (only a teeny bit).
Just a regular star with the top pointed up is known as a pentacle (from what I've learned). Each of the points refer to the elements praised in most pagan traditions: earth, air, fire, water, & spirit (or deity, depending on the tradition).
The pentagram is a star with a circle around it- it has the exact same meaning as the pentacle except the circle represents endless unity binding all elements together in life & in practice.

maz33's answer was pretty good. There's not much I can add at this point. A pentagram is simply a holy symbol that is used by many Pagans and Wiccans to express their beliefs. Pentagrams have a long history in that function.

The pentagram is a magic symbol it stems and can be traced straight to satanism, it is the sign of the devil and will cause a curse to come on any who use it, at first the demons answer a few request and then they own you and you cant pay the price so stay clear of all the demonic symbols, idolatry, and demon worship, seek God and he will give you the desires of your heart and secret power, real power not the phony pentagram wanna be power" Right here"

I'm Wiccan and I have to say that I don't even believe in the devil, and I wear my pentacle like Christians wear their crosses. I'm not a wannabe, so vent your uncertainty about yourself in your religion elsewhere and keep your ignorance around others like you. And you don't see me criticizing them wearing something people used to be nailed to!

Note: I'm responding to the people making the stupid statements, not the serious answers to the questions.

PS, sorry that I vented on them in your question.
