Why do some guys not want the title of being in a relationship, but that act and do everything that a bf and a gf do? Are men just playing the field, don't know what they want or playing games.

***MY SITUATION: i've been friend with a great guy for 5 months. In the beginning he wanted to be with me, because i had just got out of a relationship i told him i wasn't ready to get into another one. He respected that and stated that he would be patient with me. Now, 5 mo. later i want to be with him, and he said he doesn't want a relationship. But we act like we are in a serious relationship.

He knows what he wants. He wants you close for your good company. However, he wants to keep his options open to date other women.

Great that you're around to keep him company when he is lonely. Perfect setup for him. Time to think about yourself.

No and yes. Many want their cake and eat it too.

Many guys love their freedom. They hate the responsibilities a relationship takes and the responsibility for another humans feelings.

He wants sex and to see you when he wants but he also wants to be free to do whatever else he chooses when he wants.

Many guys are afraid of relationships and commitment.

And even though you have been friends with him 5 months I don't think thats long enough to really really know someone.

You do know and he has been clear he doesn't want a relationship and trust me... no matter what you do... you cannot make someone want something they don't want.

Anyway best of luck.

If he doesn't come around there are so many other guys and you will find a nice one that does want a relationship.

Men take for granted what they have. They all want something they cannot have. A challenge is what men crave for. It's just how a woman carries herself that a guy can tell whether she will be a challenge or not. Dating's a game. Others are just scared of commitment because of maybe their past or maybe they do not know how to be in a relationship or treat a lady. This guy sounds like one of those guys who knows he can have you so he takes advantage of it. Try pulling away, if he chases after you, then there ya go. Good luck =)

yep. And they want it now.
It's called having your cake and eating it.
All you need to remember is that a mans brain works differently to a woman's. The are very immature and find responsibility hard to handle. They will always have a get out Claus.

PS. I am happily married and have been so for 20 years so no I do not hate men. I just understand them and play them at their own game.

You are in a serious relationship, men have more feeling and are more emotional than women, but do not show it as often and express it differently,

5 months is a long time to find out what "both" of you want. Try to have a serious discussion, once for all.

men take what they can while they can. I think you should sit him down and say if you want to be with me then now is your chance take it or leave it. I have been in your situation and it can be a tough spot to be in but if you dont speak up you wont be heard.

Yes and no, my dear. Yes, they do want sex. No, they don't want anything to do with you when they get you knocked up. Good enough, yes?
