There are numerous theories explaining the existence of life on this planet.

for example :

Big Bang
God' creation
and so on.

Many people do not believe that God created the earth, but instead believe in the Big Bang etc.

Now, my point is would'nt a rational man do something that would benfit him ?

Yet, people prefer to stick to other theories of creation, when believing in God..having some faith, will give them better assurance to go to heaven(Jesus already died for our sins)

Also isnt it obvious that since many people are going against the rational theory of man or objectivisim - man will do things that benfit him , there must be some force driving them - the devil.

I'm Wiccan--so I don't believe in the "Devil", but instead I believe in various levels of evils. Nor do I believe in total good like a God, but gods and goddesses that are both good and bad, which is the true way gods should be since many religions believe we are created in "Their" image, why shouldn't they have faults just as we do?
Other religions lack a "Devil" in them, not just mine. I think Judaism also lacks a devil. I'm not sure about the Big Bang or Creationism theories because I'm of the mind that I'm happy to be here. Even if we discover how we came to be, how is that supposed to change our inherit beliefs? Even when we find our origin, people will have what they believe is the truth, so I'm just going to live my life and try to find a way to make an impact that will be positive and let people remember me.
I'm not asking anyone to believe what I do, because that would be against the openness that I seek in my religion--also I can't stand having views forced on me, so I'd never do it to others.

Depends on how you look at this. the religious point of view of God=Good, Devil= Evil is very similar to the philosophical one Of Good and Evil. You can not have good without defining evil. They are both opposite faces on the same coin. In that sense the devil is real, regardless of the religious package of Heaven and Hell. The difference between them is that in the case of religion "god" sets the rules while in secular humanity we set the rules. We are among the few life forms on this planet that display moral behavior. We also seem to be plagued by duality. Good/Bad, Up/Down, Positive/Negative, Right/Left, Right/Wrong etc. Somewhere your conclusion suffers

I really could not disagree more ! I think the truth rather than religion would better benefit mankind .Religion is irrational to the maximum .there is simply no god no heaven after death no savior your idea of rational is deluted and merely stubborn in it's parrotting old pat answers that have been debunked numerous times before.sorry to disagree so entirely but your ideology needs you to free your mind instead.

The theory that we came from other worlds has always intrigued me. We as an experiment from some extraterrestrial world has always fascinated me and would also explain allot of things from our past and present that neither science nor religious writings can explain.

1. Parse and retransmit, re first question: "rational man".
2. Irrational conclusion... there is/are no devils - not Satan, not Lucifer, not Ahriman... nothing. Devils are as non-existent as angels, unicorns, gnomes and all the other supernatural, made-up entities. And "obvious" is hardly appropriate.

God and the big bang are not mutually exclusive believes.

How does deciding to believe in a fantasy assure me of anything? You are losing it!
Chose reality, it is like waking up to a new day every morning.
