If that was true they would do just as the Bible says to do and nothing against it totally

The authors of Christianity foresaw all contingencies. It's really a rather elegant doctrine when you consider confession and absolution. They knew that no human could ever behave like a model Jesus, so they gave everyone an "out" to behave like complete idiots, and still be allowed to win the heaven prize.

Christianity is the perfect religion for people who don't want to grow up.

Some are, some are not. When it comes to any kind of spirituality, it is a very strong personal thing for people and it can certainly take control of people if they aren't taking notice, as well as people being able to take control of it and have a clear, good experience with their spirituality. This q can go into a long debate over what things control people.....but I would argue that the media (tv, newspaper, movies, etc.) has a huge amount of control over people but they are completely hypnotized to it......I am hypnotized even though I write about it. And I would say the same with the media.....you have to take a step back and look at what you are being fed so you can ultimately take control of your own thoughts and opinions.

The many sects of Christianity have a wide variety of dogmas and rules that they insist that their followers live by...regardless of the sense or lack thereof in those dogmas. Further, these Christian sects insist in no uncertain terms that the only way to get in good with their sky daddy is to obey these dogmas. These dogmas may include:

mode of dress
political leanings
political opinions
wildly differing ideas about what is acceptable behavior
educational values
rites and rituals
sexual behaviors
financial behaviors
superstitions
holidays observances
acceptable medical treatments

Many of these sects demand absolute obedience to their pet dogmas, and come down hard on anyone who does not march in lock step with them. Without question.

Let me repeat that: NO QUESTIONS ALLOWED. Answers to such questions will result in shunning, expulsion, or empty or nonsensical responses such as "The Bible/Quar'an/Torah says so (whether it does or not)."

Tell me: How is this not control?

Atheists accuse us, and God of doing the things in the Bible. Isn't this just a circular argument?
Why don't you do whats in the Bible/ How can you do the things in the Bible? Throw in the mind control or brainwashed for the kicker and maybe a slur... you got more questions!

I don't know. Some people do such dumb things because the Bible says it's alright, that you start to wonder if they'd do them without the Bible saying it was okay. If they had to just think for themself what was right and wrong.

Only people who are incapable of thinking for themselves are controlled by Christianity. For the most part, it's a cult lead by money hungry freaks... and the few that are legit, are blinded by their desperation to grasp onto something.

Isn't that what Christians are supposed to do?

Which parts of god's word are you allowed to disregard?

Because they can not believe that a person can be this happy. It makes them jealous, just like when God refused Cain's offering. Instead of repenting and give God his best, he turned and murdered his brother.
