The thing that I don't understand is why the Church kept this so secretative for so many years. A bishop would find out and he would just relocate the priest to a different church in a different city or even a different state. There's altar boys in every church. It went all the way to Pope John Paul II and I have no idea what he did about it all. These priests should have been excommunicated and arrested. Being a priest doesn't make you above the law.
