I am guessing you live in CA. AZ will tax what you earn from your job in AZ. CA will tax everything you both earn anywhere. CA offers a credit based on tax paid to other states.

You will file a MFJ Federal return and a MFJ State return in both CA and AZ. You will pay AZ tax on your income and CA tax on her income. Assuming that you and your wife live in CA that will be a resident return and the AZ will be a non-resident return.

You just do your federal taxes together and your state taxes separate.
