no joke... have you seen this? it seems to be only when he licks his BUTT!!!!! he sunds like a demon possessed child growling and groaning!!!! and when i look at him he is licking his butt.

This is a sign that the cat has worms.Take him or her to a vet to be checked .Or just get some over the counter worming medicine to help him out.Any cat that goes outside or eats wet food can get worms.

He may have pain there, best to have it checked out by a vet. If he's not neutered, that could be the cause, he's errr, satisfying himself!

it may just be overprotective and protecting its territory, or it is purring as it is enjoying it, or it has a sore, whatever it is ask your local vet and they'll have the answer. :-)
