what do you think the length of beard, if mohammed did not trim beard for years. I think it would have been very long like Bin Laden's

He actually believed that allah would have no mercy on him if he did not have his beard. Hilarious, isn't it ?

Also he wanted to distinguish his followers from the other Arab pagans, so did the reverse of what they did, including reverse circumambulation around the Kaaba.

It is only mentioned that he was beard, and no clue of the length of the beard , appropriate it 3 or 4 inches, not Very long !!its just a Sunnah and muslims follow it in their love for Muhammad(pbuh) its a personal choice !! ...........umm why you are so much curious ??

A matter of preference and also he wanted to look different from Christians and the Jews during those times who were either clean shaven or spotting a moustache.
As related in the Hadis, his beard was not that long and he kept it tidy all the time.

Those of you who say nasty things about him than can say the same things to the rabbis and people who have long beards like Kenny Rogers.

It reflects their wisdom or, you might say IQ, the long beard wisest old men down to the youngest with a wispy little growth. Women with big hooters have much status and attract men and in some societies men who can grow a long beard and speak in a deep voice like Kissinger of some Japanese men have much status. Maybe he just didn't have a way to cut it.... Maybe at the time it was "the thing to do" or something.

I think it's crazy for people to emulate physical parts of religious leaders - good thing we don't, I don't want to look like someone from that long ago....

who said it was really long? He did have a beard but asking why is strange. If Jesus had long hair and I asked you why, wouldn't you think it was a strange question?
