Must be something wrong with me, too. I was going to say "maybe it's a squirrel" thing, but since I share the same problem, obviously it isn't....

We must be deficient in faith. Tough noogies for us!

You have been filled with the Holy Spirit since you accepted Jesus as your personal Savior. Now, If by being filled with the Holy Spirit you mean dancing or feeling the manifestation of the Holy Spirit, that's another thing. For that, you have to really live a christian life, pray, fast, and obey the word of God. But remember that this won't guarantee you that you will feel the manifestation. God knows your heart and you really have to desire that. Trust me, God will give you that experience if you really want it. He might be testing your patience to see if you really want that. Ask God in the name of Jesus to give you that experience. The key thing here is that you have to praise the Lord. That's what invites the Holy Spirit to give you that experience. Remember that this is not automatic. It's not when you want, but when he wants.

As humans we are so focused on feelings and experiences. If something doesn't automatically feel good or we don't get an instant rush of emotion we doubt we are doing things "right" or worse - we doubt if God and the Holy Spirit is "real".

If you haven't already, pray a prayer like this from the sincerity of your heart:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe you died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and accept your gift of salvation. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

If you just prayed that prayer and really meant it, Jesus Christ has now taken residence in your heart! Not only that but he has forgiven you of all your sins and places the Holy Spirit in us - I have found from experience in my Christian walk that the closer I try and get to God by praying, fellowshipping with other Christians and reading his word, the more able I am to distinguish within me the Holy Spirit leading and guiding me to follow God's plan and path. If I am worried or angry or feeling bitter about something it is harder for me to "feel" the Holy Spirit within me. The times that I am humble and quiet in the Lord I am most able to commune with God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

God Bless you - I am praying for your continued growth and wisdom!!

Ok i may not be a minister or anything but I'm a strong christian and reading your bible you wont suddenly be "filled with the holy spirit" and suddenly "inspired". The only way to be "filled with the holy spirit" (and I'm quoting my youth pastor with this part only not word for word, lol) is once you give all of yourself to Jesus and lay it all in his hands and he will come to you and fill you with the holy spirit. I wish i had a verse for you but i don't, sorry.

You are relying on feelings to much. Don't read the Bible to get a 'feeling', just study it. It's an ancient book with a lot of wisdom in it, and people who are putting it down are displaying their own ignorance. (Sorry, this is not about you but about some of the other comments!)

When you study it regularly it will change you from the inside out, and your life will become more and more spirit filled.

ima christian and it's not that anythings wrong with you it's just that you were reading the bible and when reading the bible you get knowledge, in order to be filled with the holy spirit all you gotta do is communicate with god and the way you do that is simply through prayer and ask him to be part of your life.

Because it takes more than just reading. It takes faith, repentence, and a surrendered life. You must give God the authority to come into your life. You can do this in prayer by believeing and asking Him to. You must be so sorry for your sins that you are willing to turn from them or anything else that may keep you separated from God. Then you will ALLOW room for the Holy Spirit to come in. Once you do, you will never regret it. I hope that you find Him, I did.

when you read the bible u usually wouldn't feel the Holy Spirit cause at that point he teaches us and will guide us through....rather when u talk to him u would....

see the Holy Spirit(HS) is a person given to us by God.... so we can feel him all the time.... but u will be able to feel in a much greater sense if u talk to him heart to heart.....see the HS does not listen to our words alone...but he listens to our heart...so sometimes you don't need to even talk but just keep quiet and you will still feel him....

and also he will come to you in a subtle way...but in a good way.... he will be everything good and Holy....

and NO there is absolutely nothing wrong with you at all...just that God maybe waiting for a special and perfect moment to come into you.....

or there might be some sin....so go evaluate urself and see if there is any sin....if so put it right with God...

So God bless you and may he reveal himself to you soon......

No. There is no "filling with the Holy Spirit." The Holy Spirit doesn't exist. You are fine.

What does being filled with the Holy Spirit feel like? Would you recognise the feeling? How could you tell it wasn't just a flush or a draft of cool air?
