You may not see it but your mum wants to help you do the best with your assignments and h/w. If you let her help she won't end up scribbling away, she could correct your mistakes before you make them. Just have a positve and loving attitude towards your mum, after all, she just wants to help=)
good luck..

Do your homework in your room. Change the time when you do it so she doesnt know. Like when she is busy cooking dinner or other things.
When you ask her to check it ask her not to shout cuz it makes you nervous and if something is wrong could she tell you nicely cuz your not perfect but your trying hard.
If that doesnt work then tell a school counselor maybe they will talk to your mother.

Tell her you started an after school club and just go to the library to do your homework instead. Make the librarian your new best friend and have her check your assignments if you really need it or just post your homework questions on Yahoo! answers and we'll be glad to help you out!

Mums can be good at driving someone crazy. Maybe just tell her that this is your homework and don't ask her to check it. If she walks by just cover up your work.

My mother does this because she want's me to be perfect. She doesn't want me to make mistakes because she iss afriad it will make her seem as if she failed to do her job. When she yells at you she is just upset because you haven't learned what she has been trying to help you understand. SHe cares. You need to show her that you are listenign and that you ready to be on your own. Just grow up darlin.

Your mum loves and wants to support you. Tell her in a very kind way that if you need help you will ask. Now and again ask even if you don't need it. Then she will not feel rejected.

It's great to be independent, but think yourself lucky. What if she wasn't there to check on your homework at all?
But do speak to her about the yelling if it bothers you.Encouragement is always better than negativity.
