A homeless guy asked us for money while we were on a date. We didn't give him any. Later, in the car she bad mouthed the homeless guy saying he should get a job. Then, she asked me if I thought "The angels were testing me" when the homeless guy asked me for money.

Not sure what your question is, but she's a little weird and no, the angels were not testing you.
It's ok not to give money to bums.

Your question isn't very clear. Who is us, she and he?
As for giving a bum money, that's totally up to you. Know that once you give them the money it's theirs to do with as they please. If you feel inspired to give them money go ahead, but you can also give them a sandwich or something else to eat.
And are the angels testing you? No, I don't think the angels test people, I don't see it as their job. It's not to say that we aren't tested. I'm just saying I don't think angels test us.
Every time you make a decision simply ask yourself what is right and do what you think is right. If you live your life that way then you don't need to worry about being tested.

I ask them if they are hungry and will get them a little food. I never give out money because really most of the time it does go for booze and drugs.
