let me just give you my own personal thoughts on what worked for me. First of all, drink water..especially before you sit down to eat...it helps fill you up. Eat slowly, it takes like 20 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that you"re full. You can really eat a lot in 20 minutes, I'm proof.
Also, cut carbs, you know, like pasta, bread, potatoes...definately makes a difference.
Go out walking, I lost 18 lbs in 3 weeks just from walking my dog 2-3 miles everyday...and I didn't really need to lose that much. If you don't have a dog, ask a friend if you can walk their dog...or ask a friend to walk with you.
And drink fiber drinks...my boss started drinking fiber drinks to help his heart and unexpectedly lost 14 lbs in less than a month.
A friend of mine makes lunch her biggest meal of the day and begins it with a grapefruit, she seems to be losing weight consistantly.
I used to think walking in a mall was a good idea, but then Cinnabon opened, and the smell lingers everywhere and that is just too tempting.
Our local high school has a track that is open to the public til 10PM during the summer, for walking & jogging. Its open also after school events during the school year. The track is 1/2 mile per lap so its easier to keep track of your distance. I used to jog there a lot.

hi, I have tried for ten years .....now i have lost about 6 kilos in 5 months .
here is the plan
1- eat five times a day small meals , never skip breakfast , decrease ur intake of fat( never eat fast food or pizza u can did it once per week and not in evening ) increase your intake of skimmed diary, decrease sugar or even cut it if u can , if not if u add 2 pieces of sugar put only one.stop eating after 18:00pm.
2- walk walk walk .....for a month not less than 45 minutes to get ride of fats.
3- sleep well ...drink a lot of water... eat fruits and vegetable...
Try these tips for a month,
4- if u still not loosing any weight try those medication it will really help but try and be honest with urself before taking those pills....those pills are the best and no harm u can visit the websites and get more informations about it .

My daughter finally got herself into shape. Best advice to lose weight is to NOT diet, but rather change your eating habits instead. She keeps her fat intake below 30 grams of fat daily, and her calories below 1600 daily. You can't eat at McDonald's and stay within those ranges. Food must be baked or boiled, not fried. Don't eat too many carbs at one sitting. NO junk food, lots of water, water and more water. Whole grains only when chosing bread.
And of course, be active. You don't even really have to say "im going to exercise now." Just be active. When you go to the mall, park far away from the entrance. Walk to the store down the street for milk, don't drive. Mow your lawn, don't hire someone to do it. Turn on some good music and dance your butt off around the house. Shoot some hoops even if you can't play basketball. A wall, a racquet, and a tennis ball can give you something to do when you're bored.
nothing works when you "try" to lose weight. change your eating habits, your lifestyle, change them both permanently, and your body will eventually return to it's normal state.

Use spray oil rather than pouring. One squirt contains only 1 calorie compared to 120 calories coming from a tablespoon. If you use oil inside your cooking daily, this small change could lose a stone over the year.

I read in Freakonomics that there is a way to trick your body not to go into storage mode.
Research show that our body tend to store food when they feel that there is abundance. This is usually marked with the taste of favorful food. So eating delicious food can make you fat.
However, the professor who found out about this refused to settle for bland food and found out that he can trick the body by swallowing teapoons of olive oil or drinking frutose solution in between meals.

People who plan their weekly meals are more successful at losing weight than those who don’t. Plan your dishes to include healthy carbs such as nice potato and wholegrain pasta, greens and lean proteins, buy all of the ingredients in advance and don’t be tempted to enjoy out or order in.

Do Water diet. Drink drink drink, flash out poison (fat). Simple. Also you are what you eat. Do fruits and veggie diet in 50 - 50 Ratio in portion. Eat these 4 to 6 times a day. Drink more water. and more water.
