I might not be able to get an apartment from so far away in san francisco in san diego so does anyone know of any hotels that have weekly/monthly rates not exceeding 200 weekly or 800 monthly?

i believe that the Hiltons have a long-term chain of hotels. I would give them a call. I saw some extended stay hotels in Orange County and Glendale

bring up the hotels in the area that u want to stay on the computer, then look ,they should have 1800 numbers, then call ahead and ask them how much they charge.thats what we did when we went on vacation. u can also find a hotel then look around for better prices, but u might tell motel u r not sure how long u r staying and ask them if u get ur money back if u dont stay for the whole month

Check out Extended Stay America. They usually have decent rates and their rooms include a small kitchen. If you book a room with them through Hotwire, you'll probably get a better deal.

I would check losangeles.craigslist.org for short term/temp rentals - there's people who have weekly rentals in their homes, or you might find a student or someone who's leaving for a while that you could crash in their place (maybe even cheaper than that).
