My cat is dieing and I think it has something to do with the food, but when I look at the recall list the brandname isn't on there could there possible be another contamination or is my cat just dieing becuase of ffailing kidney's I mean she didn't start acting weird until we opened the friska's(sp) bag. I mean I would be very sad if the food company had something to do with this she was just fine a week ago when she was with me when I was digging.
Edit: And yes the cat was takken to a vet yesterday that's when we found out she had the problem with her kidney's we bought special food for her to now.

I also have a pet that has died and I think its connected some how to the recall, but The food is not on the list. I have called the number on the bag and everyone is assuring us that its not the dry dog food. I got the food from my grandfather last wen. and his dog died on sat. the 23rd my dog died on mon, 26th and the only connection is the food. the dogs have never come in contact with one-another, they were both healthy dogs and they both died in the same manner. the food is Ol Roy Meaty chunks n gravy. I know its in the wet gravy products so I hope this is some how not the case, but it sure is a big coincidence.
a lot of hearts have been broken because of this tragedy, so I hope even if your dog or cat food is not on the recall list and your pet has become ill or died you are reporting and checking into the mass recall because I don't believe they are making all the information available to the public. Our hearts go out to you and your cat.

Is there a phone number on the food. If so call them or get intouch with pet connection.com and they can help you. Right now I would not trust any can of food until they resolve this problem. I have read a few articles and they say is to go with dry food at this time. They even said that they would not trust canned cat and dog food. What company is friskas from? Look on the package.

I was feeding friskies. I have stopped, because of wierd behavior in my cats. They were throwing up and laying around, not doing anything. It has been three days now since I stopped and they seem to be getting better. I split 2 cans a day between 11 cats, so they were not getting very much each. I TRUST NO SOFT FOODS AT THIS TIME. Friskies web sight says that it is not affected. I do not believe this. I have read several items posted here agains friskies food. Others are having problems also.

thank you for posting this. i'm confident there'll be extra to return. Wilbur-Ellis allotted the contaminated rice product to 5 substantial dogs nutrition generating flora and a minimum of a few manufacturers have been having their nutrition examined to get professional be conscious that definite it includes melamine interior the rice product in the previous recalling. organic stability recalled first, now Royal Canin. i'm confident it extremely isn't the top yet I confident wish it grew to become into. I feed my dogs's Nature's recipe and have not had a concern, yet i'm nonetheless thinking a house made nutrition habitual, partial uncooked because of fact I do purely no longer have faith any dogs nutrition business company at this element. as quickly as the nutrition is mass produced there is purely too great a margin for errors and too little regulation. The recollects was once quieter yet now clientele are sensible and extra ideal reported. no longer in basic terms that, yet human beings are studying what is going into the mixture and that throughout spite of ways "top rate" a dogs nutrition it, there is an possibility that there are products that flow into affordable meals, and are an identical products that flow into the costly ones. definite, different meals could have their very own formula and exclusions. the character's Recipe would not have wheat, corn or soy. besides the fact that it does have rice. It would not have brown rice in spite of the indisputable fact that, so it may't be affected. we will see.

Kidney failure can be caused by many things, and it is actually quite common in elderly animals due to their age. Unfortunately, animals bodies can compensate quite a bit before showing signs of illness, so the kidney disease probably started some time ago, but the sypmtoms just recently started showing.
