Why do you think that Islam is being misunderstood?

People have access to the Quran, people read newspapers and see television. They hear what the imams preach, they see what the shahids say and do.

The theory and practice of Islam is very much known and available, so that the general population understands Islam pretty well.

During the last generation, hundreds of thousands of children have been taught all over the Muslim world in madrass schools to become martyrs for Allah in order to kill the infidels.

These youngsters not only are ready to do it, but are actually in the process of doing it. Bombs are going off all over the world killing and maiming thousands of people, not only on 9/11 in the U.S., in London, Madrid and Bali, but in Africa, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and many other places. The first signs of the Islamic tsunami are already here, but the West doesn't understand, or doesn't want to understand what is coming.

Now perhaps this is what you may be referring to as people misunderstanding Islam. The Americans, instead of realizing that this is as bad as World War Two, or even worse, are going to pull out of Iraq, handing it over to Iran on a silver platter. Next may come the Saudis and the rest of the Gulf states.

When dirty bombs go off all over Western towns, who is going to stop the Iranians?

Western Media is very dangerous. They cater to rich and powerful and keep people in the USA and the world divided by spreading false information about great ideas or spreading only the bad news about every community

The right picture of lslam is conveyed in the Qur'an, which is exemplified by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The reality is that it is not fair to judge a religion by the actions of its followers alone because there are good and bad followers in every religion. The correct thing to do is to judge a religion by its documented revelation from God and the prophet who brought that revelation.

I encourage Christians and other religions to learn about Islam from Muslim sources and The Basis Of The Muslim Belief and not rely on second hand information which in many cases is distorted or contains a deep seated anti Muslim agenda. This is indeed a more scholarly approach

there is not only one reason .ther are a lot but i think that the most important think is the terrorists who kill people in the name of god without feeling ashamed from them selves i mean that those kind of people are the ones who give the Chance to media to show to the normal people in western a wrong image of Islam..and the other reason is the media it self cos it's just a game in the hind of politics so the image of Islam is going bad day after day ...a lot of Americana's were growing up watching and believing in wrong idea so whatever you say you won't change the way they think with .....the third reason is that those people are so much afraid from being wrong and they are ...they don't know what they are believing in.. so we can say that the Islam was misunderestood by those people cos there country wanted to ( because of ther greed )

It's not! I completely understand it is a religion that was founded on a false prophet with a vision from a demon. That Mo never even saw the quran, in fact, he denied it. It was his aides that wrote the verses down. Their allah was nothing more than a throw away idol in a pack of about 360 in a little village and mo decided to save it.
