You can have small journals at each table where folks can write words of advise - or note cards/envelopes and a box to drop them in. My sister bought a bunch of disposable cameras and asked people to take pictures and leave the camera there for them to process and enjoy the photos.
You can leave out index cards and have guests give low-cost date night ideas.

A few years back my best friend got married so as the maid of honor I got a hold of her guest list and close family and friends. For three months leading up to the wedding I video taped each person of significance and all family members and had them say a few things as far as advice or warm wishes, then on the day of the wedding my mom went to the groom and had him say a few things to his bride and then the bride to the groom, added some of their wedding music took it home put it on disk and then my played it on a projection screen at the reception. It was amazing to see the look on the couples face when they realized how much time and thought went in to it. They now watch it on their anniversary every year. It took a lot of time and you would need help from someone who is not in the wedding and is reliable enough to get the disk to the reception on time. But it is well worth the work.

i was at a wedding a while ago and saw a great idea! there was a giant picture of the bride and groom (engagement picture). it was framed without glass on top and had some sharpies next to it - the guests signed all over the photo - name and wishes for the new couple. It was very nice and the couple can hang it up wherever they go. and will always remember their special day.
you could also get a polaroid camera and have guests take their pic and sign their wisdom words on the front or back and stick it in a photo album!

Put together a small photo album or scrapbook...leave the first page open for the newly wedded couple's picture(s), then collect pictures of the bride and groom's parents/siblings/grandparents weddings. If you had the wedding invitations, that would go along great with the pictures. I think this would make a treasured keepsake.

I saw this for an anniversary, but would do the same for a wedding. The couple placed pictures of events in their life on each table. The pictures were cropped with colored papper, big enough around the edges so that people could write comments about that day or the couple in general. These were then placed into a scrapbook by their children. Could also put pieces of paper on the table that correspond with the color of the cropped picture!

here is my idea, I write all types of poems even wedding poems... if u want one I can give u one for free... but my idea is get a scrapbook n get pics together of both of them together n in one page, have ppl write words in them n also have it as a surprise so the groom and bride doesn't know it's for them, here is my poem, it's mostly for the bride tho:
~Best Day Of Her Life~
She wakes up that morning with a smile on her face. Her skin is shinning, her eyes are bright, and she knows that this is going to be the best day of her life…
Surrounded by a group of gigging girls that carefully do her hair. Her hair gets done to perfection, not a strand out of place.
Her makeup makes her look like a fairly princess and with that sparkle in her excited eyes; she looks as if she could fly.
As she walks down the aisle, she looks to her left, and to her right. She looks upon her friends and family that loves her. As she looks to the end of the aisle, she stared into the eyes of the one person who matters to her most, the love of her life. The man she will soon spend the rest of her life with.
He stands there and looks upon her flawless face and glares into her sparkling eyes, knowing he had made the right decision.
And when it’s finally time to promise to be together forever, they place the golden rings upon their fingers, looked up and smiled at each other. Nothing could have been more magical then the moment their eyes met. They repeated the everlasting words,
“I DO!”

My best wishes to YOU.

How about putting out disposible cameras so that your guests can take pictures and have someone be in charge of them so that you make sure you get them all back. This will be a great way for you to get pictures of everything and everyone that you might have missed with your professional pics.

I like the journal idea. You could make your own in just a way that you can pull them apart and get rid of the empty pages and put all the written ones together. Maybe have a picture of the two of you together on the front of it.

i truly like the belief of a table having to do something as a team with a view to get the bride and groom to kiss...it we could them get to renowned one yet another, and that is cuter than the sound of twinkling glass, and to no longer point out, you will no longer ought to give up what you're doing a million cases to kiss (which i've got been advised starts off as beautiful, yet gets depraved stressful once you're attempting to consume or have a communique with different travelers, etc.)

well my husband and I had our guest book passed around and asked the married couples to put marriage advice in it and single people just wrote congrats and other comments/memories in it. I still look at it, we have been married for 3 years. It was and still is great.
