An ice pack and some asprin is certainly going to help reduce the swelling, but without knowing the circumstances of the injury it's hard to give a complete answer.

I'd put padding around the handle of the crutches. You might not be using them properly either. Have you gotten proper instructions on how to walk with them?

clean your hand with antiseptics.then apply povidone iodine ointment.take trypsin+chymotrypsin tabs for three times a day for 3 days along with some analgesics.
