No. It just means you get a higher quality of sleep. It is a fact that everyone dreams. Many, many dreams a night. I believe, however, that when you wake up and actually remember these dreams, you are not in a deep sleep. REM is the kind of sleep in which we dream. When you wake up during REM (rapid eye movement), you are not getting the proper sleep that you need and the only dreams that we remember are the ones that we wake up to. I have very vivid dreams that I remember on a nightly basis, it is very disturbing most of the time. I don't ever remember NOT being tired in my life. So your mind isn't working less, you are just sleeping better. I'd be intersted to know why some of us do, some of us don't.

Your brain is quite active. Some theories about dreaming is it is based on information, your brain has deemed nolonger useful so it is forgetting to save space

No, it just may mean you spend more time asleep from the time you last had REM to the time you wake.

You tend not to remember dreams unless you wake up right from them- or they are very laced with emotion/vivid.

I didnt think you were supposed to remember your dreams. I know i certainly dont.
