I look at the news, and see good people of all religions suffering. Children, babies, mothers, and fathers of all religions and races. I want to ask your opinion about why good people have to suffer through hardship. I already have some idea about it, but I want to know your's. And it's not just the news. There are people who are much less fortunate who don't even have a home to live in. I thank God at least 5 times daily for giving me a life of ease, and for everyone else who has been blessed with anything good. So why do some good people, in your opinion, have it so hard? And another question is, why do some people have the inability to accept that everyone doesn't believe as they do? We as people should be working towards getting along and living in peace, not doing our best to break others down and trying to harm them.

The rain falls on the just & unjust. How would we recognize a miracle, how would we grow in Faith, how would we see, the need for God in our lives if everything was easy, no pain, no sorrow,no suffering. We would not understand Joy,we would not seek or see the Creator's Power & Love. How would we be able to recognize evil..
When sand, a irrantant to a oyster continues to irratate the oyster, the oyster releases a fluid onto the grains of sand, out of this constant irrantant a pearl is formed. Beautiful & of value. But only after the oyster has suffered the irratible sand.
There is evil in the hearts of man in this world. But when Christ returns, His kingdom will restore the Peace and end of sufferings as God the Father intended for His creation from the begining. Until Jesus returns there will be no lasting peace. We, His people, should be a reflection of Christ's love to one another, giving hope to all who cross our paths. Let our light so shine until Jesus returns. A little light dispels a great darkness. Shine & Thank God in all things! Shine.

In my opinion, some of the people become good people through the hardship they experience. You probably heard that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and in my opinion if they can get through rough times then they have the will to go on and be pleasant people. Some people also have it hard because they are naive and don't see it as a hard time.
To answer your other question, people cannot handle the fact what they believe might be wrong. So they cast other people and try to make them believe what they want them to believe to make them feel more confident. Also some people were raised that way and really don't have any other way of looking at things. There are people out there with conceited attitudes that think they know everything and think that their way of thinking is the right way to peace. People think differently.

The simple truth is we will never know why good people suffer, or why people think everyone should believe like they do. I agree with you why can't people get along and not harm each other. But in this life there is so much hatred and I believe it often stems from just not understanding another persons way of life. It often is called ignorance. It is a sad state of affairs.

All credible evidence says the universe is neutral; you follow certain natural laws, you get certain results, everything else is arbitrary. This directly contradicts belief in 1) a benevolent being who is all powerful (this would tend to sway things toward the good), 2) an evil being who is all powerful (exact opposite), and 3) a war between good and evil (things would swing backand forth).

Everyone suffers some kind of hardship in their lives - good, bad, and in between. It's just life happening. I don't know anyone who has not had to deal with some kind of hardship - be it financial, emotional, physical, etc.
I don't have an answer for your second question, but I do agree with you.

Suffering for blessing.
Job suffered to prove that a man can love God more than possessions, more than health. It was an honor for Job. Satan accused Job "Does Job serve God for nothing, You have made a hedge about him?" The hedge was removed and Job still served God, proving Satan wrong.
Remember Job was given back 7 times what was lost.

Everyone dies once. Unfortunately some people, and I am not pointing any fingers, rush to destruction and are keen to take as many with them as they can. This is evil. No matter how you slice it, this is what we who want to live in peace must face, and defeat.
When we must die is OUR time. We cannot hope to understand it. It is in the hands of God. We cannot understand our own time. Others time, now thats even more incomprehensible.

That's honestly the hardest thing for me to grasp is why the world is so cruel. It's hard for me to believe that an all-loving God would allow so much evil. Then I remember that in all this evil there are those people who come out victorious. Those people are heroes. Heroes give us hope. So in a way evil can give us hope that we can overcome it. Heroes also give us something to look up to.

People suffer because man sinned. Ever since the time of Adam and Eve, people have suffered as the result of their own choices. God does not cause suffering for his creation but neither does he necessarily keep people from suffering. Sometime, like silver being purified, it takes a lot of hot fire before the silver is ready. God expects us to learn from our suffering and to learn most of all to depend on him in those times.
