She insited she would pay once, then hesitated, so then I paid. After we left she gave me a hard time about it. So I thought ok, I shouldn't have paid. Later, she insited she would pay for drinks, then when the bill came asked for money.

Run away. She sounds like a leech, first of all. Secondly, she backs out of promises. That's two quick strikes against her if what you're saying is true. EDIT: You know what? A gentleman should pay. But for how long? Do all you people expect the man to pay for two forever? Even if the woman's working and making more than the man? Even after dating for two years? That's neither fair nor practical. At the beginning, the man should pay. Later on, if the woman offers, it's perfectly acceptable for her to pay, and I'd question a relationship with any woman that simply expects the man to always pay. I think that's a red flag about her mentality: she expects to be served. And no one -- man nor woman -- should offer to pay if he/she has no intention to pay. That's just common courtesy, and sticking to your word. I stand by my earlier statement: if this continues, RUN AWAY. Chivalry is good; lying about her intentions to make herself look better is not.

I'm assuming you're talking about paying for dinner etc etc.
If that's the case, when she says she'll pay next time, get the bill and put it in front of her and see how she reacts. If she looks hesitant, well, what more can i say, you'd have to pick the tab.

Dude, just pick up the tab. Feminism is dead. Men buy the meals now. It's not fair, but that's life!

Why should she pay for anything?

She's just offering to be nice.
