Number one-don't drink with people you don't fully trust! Kids you just know at school who want you to drink just to see you stoop down to their level are stupid. Don't drink to show off-you could end up raped or awfully humiliated (gossip goes round fast).
I told my baby sis this: Start with 1 beer and wait an hour to see how you react. Liquor has 2x the alcohol (at least), so start with a beer. Don't chug until you know how it affects you. Alcohol affects everyone differently, so don't go by what others say (1 will probably be enough your 1st time).
I got kind of spacey, relaxed, & it was a more conscious effort to put words together. Because of the spacey/relaxed feeling, it's harder to stay balanced. If you're sitting, you melt in the chair. Your surroundings will affect you more (music=dancing or singing). Touch is accentuated, so kissing is more pleasant (just the mere pressure of lips is a unique experience).
Don't start with the sweet/good tasting drinks because they'll either make you sick to your stomach or you'll drink faster & get super drunk which is TERRIBLE! Getting to the stage of throwing up is NEVER good, so take your time!!
Also-find a way to drink water in-between to lessen the hangover. Gots to have the water!

The first time getting drunk is pretty fun, because you've never done it before. The down side is hangovers.
No one really knows how many beers it will take to get drunk, some people may need hardly any, some people will need to drink more.

Tipsy or drunk?
Tipsy is lightheaded, and lighthearted. A bit silly. Some older guy took me out when I was 19 to a place which is too "nice" to ask for IDs, and I discovered that I LOVED cosmopolitans. He made the waitress water down the drinks just enough so that I stayed in that airheaded mental place of oxygen deprivation all night. I forget who seduced who.
First time being DRUNK happened over christmas when I got into a fight with my mom. I found a classmate of mine who had no family, so I invited him over to my apartment. Between us we had 2 bottles of vodka, both half full. For Christmas, he'd gotten a drinking game from his frat "brothers"... which we played. I am NOT into "losing" games.... and finished my half-bottle of Stoli before my stomach had a chance to rebell. Shortly afterwards, I was kneeling over the toilet and I believe my hangover lasted for a few days.
I'm not a masochist. I've never been that drunk since.
I've been tipsy though :)
PS: Never on anything but "hard liquor" or mixed drinks-- wine makes me too sleepy to enjoy being even tipsy, and beer tastes too nasty for me to drink much of.
PPS: I think it took me drinking about 2 cosmopolitans in 30 minutes to get me tipsy (and about 1 every 30 minutes to keep me there)... and as far as being drunk, I am pretty sure that I finished that half-bottle in less than 4 hours...

I've never had any kind of desire to drink, me and alcohol just didn't click. I do have a funny story about my brother though.
Him and his buddies came back one night pretty drunk and were having a good time until well after I went to bed apparently. Anyway, I woke up to see my brother butt naked on the living room floor, passed out. Final Fantasy 7 was on and his clothes had puke all over them off to the side lol.

Well, I found out the hard way that alcohol and I don't mix. I never want to drink another glass of alcohol again.
Being drunk is not fun. With me, I was always doing something stupid like jeopardizing my life or making a fool out of myself.
I used to love the feeling of being drunk and now I absolutely hate it with a passion. No more alcohol for me!

I dont remember how much it took to get me drunk because by the time I was drunk I didnt remember anything. When I woke up the next morning I was sleeping on the kitchen floor while one of my friends was using the toilet seat as a pillow, and my other friend had someone's underwear on her head. The morning after felt like hell. Everything seemed blurry and made me dizzy like car sick, kind of. Loud noise like the doorbell gave me horrible headaches.

Everyone is different so there is no special number of drinks that get people drunk and not everyone behaves or feels the same when they drink. Why would you even want to get drunk? Getting drunk means you want to drink an excess amount of alcohol and that is not good.

i was really nervous the first time i actually drank. i didn't actually get drunk until a few drinking times later....the first night i actually got drunk, i think i had 1 beer and 2-3 shots of vodka....but it really all depends on how much you weigh and how quickly you drink.

If you really need to do it just make sure you're with some responsible friends so you don't end up in the hospital (like on the night of your bachelorette party) and no cameras. You don't want one of those pics to end up on myspace. For me, things were funny at first (maybe the first hour) and then it really began to suck as soon as I couldn't stop the sky from spinning. Just enjoy a couple and relax.

I was 16 and snuck out of my house cause I was being grounded for something else.Anyways me and my bestfriend went down to these docks by the house and met with a bunch of other friends and they had Everclear.....well I ran down to the docks and was thirsty I took a huge drink from my girlfriends cup and it burned so bad I thought I was going to do. But by the end of the night its hazy I remember having to hold myself up on people and doing the whole I love you man thing.........and in the morning I woke up and had a massive headache and my butt was hurting cause my mother had kicked it when I was passed out. And my room was like a vomitorium had my bestfriend yelling at me cause I couldnt hear.......why?.......because I had a piece of hotdog stuck in my ear from the night before.........yes I know its gross........so take care with drinking....my friends wouldnt let me live it down my entire high school years.
