Ahh, you're being self-conscious. Just relax, no need to say anything, just enjoy the moment. There is an intimacy involved with being comfortable with silence. Sometimes it might just be the right time for a kiss!

Such a moment just happens sometimes. Just be comfortable and smile. Perhaps the two of you have been spending too much time together which can and has led to contempt between couples. You two need to also spend time away from each other with other friends. Take a break and come back with fresh perspectives. Have independent lives.

Make fun of the fact that it's awkward. It will fill up time while you think of something else to say and it makes the other person laugh and feel more relaxed.

1. it is only uncomfotable if you let it be.
2. look at him. Smile introspectively.
3. lean back and relax. take a breath.
4. If possible, sip your latte or whatever.
5. act as though you mean to be quiet. be confident.

it depends if its awkward silence, or comfortable silence. awkward, confront it. "...well...that was awkward :]" comfortable, just enjoy it.
