I want to know by letting the dominicans press and flat iron my hair does it make it bone straight like relaxers do? I dont want to get relaxers anymore because it breaks my hair off. Can I get a wash and set even though I am wearing it natural now?

If your hair is kind of kinky, i think you should go to an african-american beauty salon and they can get in bone straight.

It is not healthy to go to the Dominicans all of the time because the heat from the blow dryer is just as damaging as the lye in the relaxer. It is not a bad idea though. Basically the Dominicans way of doing your hair which is like a roller set and blow dry gives your hair lots of body. Just wrap it as often as you can after that.

Yes, a flat iron should make it straight. You will probably not need to have it pressed and flat iron- just blow-dry and flat iron. You can get a wash and set with a natural, but I think you want a wash, blow dry, and flat iron. Try it , I think you will like it.

Flat irons get hair straight for a few hours. Humidity and sprinkles of water turns it back to normal. Wash and dry hair. Put lotions then iron. If you have fine hair like mine it can burn. Don't do it too often.
