The problem i have is that native speakers usually don't know how to explain their grammar, therefore speaking to a native usually does not help because technical issues with their language and ours is a little bit different :)

Reading is the key! <;

Listening will help but in my opinion reading books will expose you more to the grammatically correct language than just merely listening to it..

Since you already know the language and your only problem is grammar i suggest you should always read books written in German...It is like getting used with their language and grammar, so if you always read grammatically correct German texts then the next time you construct your sentence you'll know what is grammatically correct since you already have a natural feeling in you of what is correct and what is wrong..<;

English is a fruits of many languages- a West Germanic language that built from Old English, so German is also a well alternative for you. Some of the English phrases additionally got here from Norman French, Latin, and Greek. Because we now have a few Latin-centered language impacts in English, studying a Latin-centered language like Spanish, French, or Italian may also be less difficult as good. I suppose it might be more difficult to gain knowledge of yet another language that did not use the identical kind of written language like English, French, German, and so forth. audio system use. I think that it might be problematic to gain knowledge of a language like Arabic. Also, studying a language like Chinese (probably the most many dialects)- wherein intonation is so essential might be tough.

Talking to other people works very well if you don't have the ability to go into formal language courses. The fastest and easiest way (depending on how you interpret the word easy) is studying abroad. No better way to learn a language than to emerge yourself ;)

Talk to natives as well.
If you own a microphone, you can talk to native German speakers, for free, by using programs such as Skype ( http://www.skype.com ).
