Catholicism for Dummies is a start.
However like any culture or tradition you cannot get a real feel for it just by reading. You need to talk to knowledgable Catholics.
If you are interested in joining or just learning more about the Catholic Church, contact your local parish and ask about information about their RCIA Inquiry group.
You can go and ask any questions you want.
This is the first step in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) but you can stop at any time.
There is no obligation to become a Catholic.
With love and prayers in Christ.

Yes, I think I've heard about that book but I've not read it. Please check out the interesting articles on the following link. It will give you an introduction on the differences between Catholicism and other faiths. You could also attend the RCIA classes in your local Catholic church. There is no obligation to convert and is a good opportunity to learn what Catholicism is all about before you make a decision.

Pray exceedingly asking God to help you in your decision. Educate yourself about the Catholic faith which has a 2000 year old legacy from the time of Christ that no other denomination has, and I hope you are guided the right way. All the best!

Yes- the priests who wrote it are good and faithful and give a wonderful view of what it really means to be a Catholic.
It may seem complicated, but the Cahtolic faith is so stunningly beatiful in rite and ritual and when you really enter into it, will show you God as no other faith can!

It can be a little overwhelming. It would be good to read up on it so you can understand the meaning behind so many of the beautiful rituals.
