Im getting my tubes untied and it is costing so much. but i get my money back if i dont get pregnant within a year? im a stay at home mom, dont drink, smoke or party and my kids are on the honor roll. Why does my mom think im nuts.How do i make her shut up?And no i cant tell her to shut up, Im 28 and she would still knock me out if i said that. And yes, we can afford a 3rd child without me working.

I know that our moms have a BIG impact on us, through out our lives, I have experienced the same worries when I knew I was right but my mom disagreed. You aren't nuts, their is no reason why you shouldn't try again, and I am so excited for you! You respect your mom so much it hurts to think she disagrees but you are totally right about this one. I would try not to discuss the issue with her and if she pushes it just gently say that you respect her advice but that you (and your husband I assume) have decided that you want another child and you really hope that she can agree to disagree with you and try to be excited over this new possibility! I wish you the best and hope you get prego soon!

I think your mom is probably worried about you having the sugery. She might also be wondering why you had them tied if you are going to want more kids. Anyways I think it is great, and some people spend way more than that to have kids. What are the risks of the surgery? Could you die from it if something goes wrong? Is it worth it? Anyways I wish you the best of luck having another baby. Good Luck

You need to tell your mom that you are greatful for her input, but in the end this is your decision, not hers. I think if you and your husband really want another baby, then do it. If you don't, you may regret it when you can't anymore. You are young. This is the best time to have kids. As you already know having 2 kids already, $7000 is peanuts compared to how much they cost once their born. If you can afford it and REALLY want another one, then go for it.

I can understand the want for yet another child but...if you had already had your tubes tied, you could've used that money to save an unloved and uncared for child from an orphanage.
I don't really see it as crazy. Just a little selfish. Your tubes are tied, you made the choice. I would've adopted. But everyone is different I guess.

If you got the money and are willing to go through the surgery, why not? Go for it. Tell your mom to back up, or you could just stop bringing up the subject until you get pregnant and she cant say anything then.

as long as you have the money to do it and you wont suffer money wise afterwards then do it if its what you want. Just tell your mom you want another kid and to leave you alone your a grown woman and are aloud to do the things that you want to do. but situations like this are why the men should get fixed instead of the women. Its alot easier for them to get undone then us...lol

If you really, in your heart, want another baby, I say go for it. I have one grown child and Oh! how I wish there could have been more because there is still so much love I have!

I don't think you're crazy. If you don't live your life the way you want to live it, you'll regret it. Your mom will shut up and be happy when she sees her new grand baby. Until then, just tune her out.

If you want a baby and your husband/partner does too and it it medically possible then go for it.
The best way to shut your mother up is to give her a new grand baby to be crazy about! ;)

Crazy? IMO yeah... i'd pay $7k not to have a baby myself.. as would most guys (the other ones are lying)
