Music Help PLZ!?

Question

i got a good question. if i talk into my computer how can i make it a mp3? actually i wanna record some music from my Mame emulator but instead of recording it as a wave file i want to do it as a mp3. do you know of a way, even if i have to do it in a wave file then convert to a mp3? any freewear any thing, infact if i can talk into the computer and record it in a mpe i can do a few origionals that i been working on

You can try Audacity ( http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ ), which is a free recording and sound editing software. For converting the existing wav files to mp3 format, you can use dbPowerAmp (free):

You can either use the windows default sound recorder that records in wav format and then convert that wav file to an mp3 files using converter softwares

or

use the softwares listed in http://www.mp3-recorder.net/ site and record directly in mp3 format.... i am sure there are some free tools to this task, but you will need to search for them... perhaps in www.download.com...

ok.you record whatever you want to using any recorder and if it is saving in the wav format let it.then use itunes.(if you dont have it download it from the net and then using that you can convert it to mp3.
or else use something like soundforge but as you wanted freeware i recommendeed itunes.you can convert using itunes quite easily and if you still have a problem converting in itunes feel please ask me again....
