I recommend calamine pink lotion at night to dry up the skin. To lessen the scaring try a microderm abrasion or a pumpkin peel. This will lighten the darker scars but not remove them completely.

proactiv to get rid of acne - seriously that stuff works. Plus also use a moisturiser specific for your skin tone twice a day. Once the acne has cleared either keep using the proactive or make sure you cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day. Also drink plenty of water.
To get rid of the scars try using pure vitamin e oil once the acne has gone away. The is meant to be the best non surgical remedy for scar tissue, but you will need to apply it twice a day for about a year for the scar tissue to heal. If this doesn't work the only other option is micro-dermabrasion therapy or something similar

I am now 47 and since childhood I have always cleaned my face with Listerine and cotton balls, especially over and around the nose and forehead area. You would not believe the dirt that comes off. With it being antiseptic you have an additional benefit. I have always had a clear but light complexion, my teachers even commented on this throughout high school. Though now I use a moisturizer after my face drys and bronzer for added color. As for a breakout, clean with the Listerine, if really red, hold an ice cube on it and before bedtime, put white toothpaste a dab will do. You don't have to rub it in, but make sure it's covered. by morning most of the red should be gone. Try to keep your fingers off your face. Always use cotton balls, q-tips, something sanitary
The Listerine should start drying alot of it over night.
My youngest - 18 wanted me to get pro-active, I ask her before I did just to try for a week using the Listerine. Mom was right, two days later, her breakout was gone. She has been blemish free for about 3 months now, which for her is a blessing. clean your face about 3 times a day for the first two days. When getting up, after school and before bedtime. You'll notice a difference before the week is up. When not necessary, clean all make-up off, like when you come home from school. Your skin can breath easier. do this until the breakouts stop. The scars will start fading too.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Despite the commercials, after the first month ProActiv is about forty dollars a month. Too much for a lot of people...
I suggest you try a few at-home attempts first.
Baking soda based toothpaste helps dry pimples and helps get rid of blackheads WAY more easily.
My doctor always recommends Clearisil face wash, but Neutrogena is also good if clearasil doesn't work.
A doctor could prescribe you something, which if your insurance covers it would be cheaper and possibly more effective that ProActiv.
I've also read thatif you put a lemon dabbed in sugr on your face and scrub it in, avoiding your eyes, before you shower it will help get rid of blackheads.(Your face may be a bit red so don't do this RIGHT before you go out...)
As for the scars another user for a similar topic suggest a mask of oatmeal and milk that will help rid of oils, therefore allowing for healing.
When you pop pimples or white headsuse two Q-Tips and immediatley after apply a bit of acne medice and whatever that creme/gel stuff you put on cuts is called. (I've also heard rubbing alcohol suggested, but I've never tried it.
It's been sugested that Green Tea helps prevent acne. "(Green Tea with Honeysuckle is often known as 'Pimple Tea' in many Chinatowns)"
Homemade Facial Mask:
Normal, combination skin, oily and blemished skin
Mix one egg white, 1/2 cup cooked instant oatmeal, a teaspoon olive oil and a few drops of lemon juice until smooth. Spread on your face and neck, leave on for 15 – 30 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.
Dry skin
Mix one egg yolk, one teaspoon honey and a teaspoon olive oil and some vitamin E oil. Spread over your face and neck, leave on for 15 – 30 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.
Dry and spotted skin
Mix dry oatmeal (you may grind it in a blender), honey and plain yogurt to make a paste. Spread it over your face and neck, leave on 15 – 30 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.
Gentle Facial Cleanser:
The Ingredients The Instructions
1/2 cup oatmeal or cornmeal
plain yogurt (add enough yogurt to form a paste)
For a gentle facial cleanser mix ingredients, smooth over entire face avoiding eye area. Wash off with warm water.

I've been having breakouts since many years & I tried everything. From personal experience, face applications solve the problem temporarily, but the acne is always back. Home remedies will again only work for the moment.
Six months ago, a dermatologist prescribed a course of Roaccutane tablets for me. Since u r 14, u don't have to worry about having babies now, cos that is the only thing, she told me to avoid during this treatment. Its just having these tablets & avoiding eating too much of carrots. Believe me in 3 months, my face totally cleared up. i still continued the medication for 2 more months & the results are great. But please check with your dermalogist.

i had really bad acne on my forhead when i was a teen. I totally recommend Porcelana. It is a light bleaching cream that you put on 1 - 2 times a day and the scars fade away.

i went through the same experience... i tried all sorts of three step products ( Proactiv and Acne Free) but it didn't seem to help ..
well after trying new things ... i discovered that your skin needs to be moisturized... that's the key... and not pounding a skizard worth of salicyclic acid products on your face...
I wash my face with literally any face wash ... and then apply a lot of face lotion... it has to be specially formulated for your face.. Try one by AVEENO during the night time and during the day time, use face lotion with SPF... like a Neutrogena untinted face lotion... i don't have the cream next to me... but it's something like that...
if at anytime throughout the day your face feels dry or really oily and heavy then wash it and reapply face cream ... If you have ugly looking mountains growing on your face .. then use a tad bit of pimple reducing cream .. and then let it stay there a bit and then apply cream...
so the key:
MOISTURIZE ! MOISTURIZE ! MOISTURIZE !
no joke!
and don't just stop when they're gone... keep on applying that cream cuz it's good for the skin and it keeps it HEALTHY!

just live it out and pray its puberty like everyone tells you, stop picking at yourself so you dont get scars but if you do then when you get a little older anad the acne stops you can get the scars removed surgically for lots of money but its pointless now while you still have acne, just wash morning and night and pat your face dry

i just recovered from quite severe acne. i went to see a doctor and he gave me galderma's differin (adapalene) which really helped unclog pores and prevent new acne from forming. i guess you really need antibiotics to kill the bacteria under your skin.
but remember whatever it is, do not increase the strength of the acne cream/gel/lotion that you're using just because it isnt recovering, cause the reason might be that it is too strong and thus caused further inflammation(this was what happened to me).
best of luck & hope you recover soon =)
