I am glad to see that some Christians still remember what Jesus Christ was all about. Love, acceptance and kindness to all...
Those that incite hate are Paulians not Christians

Give us a break, here. Some of us are only just now becoming aware that there is actually a problem here. The Bible, which Christians ought to take as their final authority, does say that homosexuality is an abomination, there is no way around that fact. On the other hand, we have people who are insisting on their "right" to live any lifestyle they choose, and call themselves Christian...and that doesn't only apply to gay people.
I have a couple of gay friends, if they didn't tell you they were gay, you'd never know it. I also have one friend who used to be gay, but now is a happily married man...(married to a woman, I mean)...so, it is evidently possible for a gay person to change.
I'm still working this out in my mind, here. Personally, I don't think anybody, whether they call themselves a Christian or not, can just walk up into God's living room, put their feet up on His golden coffee table, and announce that God will just have to accept them the way they are, do you? I mean, He's God, He gets to make the rules, doesn't He? If He says I can't be gay, then that's His law, not mine, and if He says I have to love people whether or not they do what I think they ought to do, then that is His rule, too, isn't it?
Bottom line...you keep your gayness to yourself, and work it out with God the best you can. I'll keep my feelings about it to myself, and also try to work it out with God.
Meantime, let's just try to get along. Till Jesus gets here, this planet is all we've got, and we've got to share it, so let's quit sweating the small stuff, what do you say?
Deal??

Calling yourself anything is meaningless, I could call myself a bannana but that doesn't make me one. The thing is with anyone is they call themselves something and then try and live up to what that thing is instead of just being what they are and calling it nothing. If you want to live by some Christian values and some family values, and some values you've picked up along the way go for it! It gets crazy when people all band together and say we believe this! and you should too! Instead of just living by example and worrying about your own personal evolution.

Ugh...you're gonna get hate the sin, not the sinner answers. I know what you mean though. I think religion is sometimes used to justify hate for something people are scared of and don't understand. The bottom line is, there's no reason for this kind of behavior but, it will continue. If someone didn't use the old religion excuse, it would be something else. It's just easier to say God told me not to like it rather than just admitting that they don't understand or like it. Same goes for any form of discrimination. Bigots aren't usually the sharpest tools in the drawer and they're not original in the slightest.

the thing is, if anyone were perfect, there'd be no need for salvation...and hence, there'd be no reason to be a Christian in the first place(though it'd still be worth respecting and admiring Christ!).
So basically, gay bashers can call themselves Christians for the same reason that anyone else calls themselves a Christian.
We're all sinners...we're all sinners redeemed.
Love and Forgiveness,

It's not that Christians hate gays, it's that we believe that homosexuality is a sin.
I like to live by the saying "Hate the sin, not the sinner."

As Christians, we do have the right to believe the way we believe. Christianity is against homosexuality. That said, being against something and being against a person are two different things. If one is against homosexuality and is hateful or mean to a gay person, then they are committing a sin themself by not behaving in Christian love toward that person. It is one thing to state one's beliefs. It is quite another thing to condemn or judge another human being. The Bible does tell us to "judge not, lest you be judged". It is our moral responsibility according to our beliefs to not remain quiet about something we are told in the Bible is wrong, when we are confronted with such a thing. At the same time, it is ALSO our moral responsibility as Christians, to demonstrate Christ-like love to all people, just as Christ has done for us. We are sinners just like everyone else. We have no right to judge. State our beliefs - yes. Be rude, condescending, judgmental, hateful, self-righteous, prideful, mean - absolutely not.

Not a lot of Christians hate gay people, I don't know where you got that from. They just think homosexuality is wrong.
Like lying is wrong too, but Christians don't hate liars in particular. It's basically the same thing.

Lord help us all, this question has been beat to death so many times...
Do you lay awake at night worrying about who is hating the gays? People have choices to make..
Homosexuality is an abomination of God but we should not hate anyone, we are not judges. God will deal with those who deny him and not follow His Word..
