SUN TZU ON THE ART OF WAR is over 2450 years old and has always been read and memorized throughout those years. It has been translated into every major language of the world. So, by Christian standards "The Arts of War" are more holy (Dictionary defintion "holy" as revered and venerated) than the Bible and should be revered and never questioned.

Christians, you are cheating again. Only the Jews can claim the old testament, y'all are always dissing it in in the words of your Jesus.

New Testament Christians.

Yes you are right. And your point is well made as usual!
The Karma Sutra is fairly old too, yet i dont think that would be classed as a holy book either!

The New Testament Scriptures are the most reliable texts we have from antiquity.
Basic facts about New Testament Manuscript Tradition
1. Many more ancient Greek copies of the New Testamnet exist than Homer’s Illiad (5,000 vs. 650)
2. These New Testament copies are much closer in date to the originals than The Illiad copies
3. The New Testament copies are highly reliable: a 99.5% match between copies
The Second Most Attested Manuscript from Antiquity is The Illiad by Homer.
• Around 800 B.C. – Homer’s Illiad composed
• 200 A.D. – 300 A.D. (1,000 year gap) – The earliest copies we have of Homer’s Illiad (approximately 650 copies
Compare that to the Most Attested Manuscript from Antiquity—the Bible—specifically the New Testament Manuscript:
• Around 100 A.D. – New Testament Written
• Around 200 A.D. (100 year gap) – Fragments and major portions of individual New Testament Books appear
• 300 A.D. – 400 A.D. – Bound copis of the entire New Testament Books appear
”The New Testament, then, has not only survived in more manuscripts than any other book from antiquity, but it has survived in a purer form than any other great book—a form that is 99.5 percent pure.”

The bible is more like six thousand years old. The Art of war is one of my favorite books, but it is far from holy. Use one of the top four definitions of holy. Revered and venerated are only characteristics of holy.

Of course not. Actually, the bible isn't quite that old -- the new testament wasn't written until at least 70 CE, and the choice of what to include in the bible wasn't made until hundreds of years after that. But I have serious doubts about the concept of "holy", and no doubts at all about the errors in the bible -- there are hundreds.

No. It was Holy when it was first compiled and even before that, when the individual writings were seperate books. Just like Sun-Tzu's book it is revered for its intrinsic value. The wisdom contained in both are indispensible in their subjects and are timeless.

1.It takes a great deal more than age to make something holy. Look how old Satan is, for goodness sake!
2. Christians have every right to the OT...it is a part of our heritage, too.
3. I agree, it's time for bed....

yawns.....

Just because something is holy doesn't mean you should never question it. I don't think age or how many times you use it makes it holy. What makes it holy is that those words in the Bible come from God himself! "The Arts of War" didn't come from the mouth of God, so therefore it's not holy.
