I have some questions about Dialysis... can't find good websties with answers to what I want to know.?

Question

I have questions as to what happens right before dialysis or how bad symptons can get b4 started. I want to know what happens after it's started, like does it get worse at first or automatically get better? I want to know do you still urinate after starting dialysis? I have looked at websites but they just tell me what dialysis is and what types or procedures there are. But I just wondered if anyone had personal experience or family or friends with experiences that could answer some random questions about it or if there is a website that I am not finding that I could be directed to. Thanks in advance!

I think it is helpful to read what people who are on dialysis are saying. All your questions have answers, connecting with people who have dealt with the same issues can be very helpful.

There are a number of good resources available on the Internet. The first stop is to go to KidneySchool at http://www.kidneyschool.org/splash/toc.shtml Each of the 19 modules take about 20 minutes to get through but by the end you'll be up to speed and ready to proceed. From KidneySchool (if you or someone you love is on or about to start dialysis) I hope you'll be interested in the healthier dialysis options available to people who dialyze at home. The busiest discussion boards relating to dialysis on the Internet is over at http://www.ihatedialysis.com a site that sounds like it could be negative but in fact there you'll find blunt talk about what it means to be on dialysis and how to face the many challenges that come with kidney failure. "I hate dialysis" is how many of us start a conversation; it is not the end of the conversation. This site also includes an active chat area, where you can chat with others from all over the world who are dealing with chronic kidney disease.

I really do think the deciding factor is the underlying suicide of our national economy along with a presidential race being run by foreign powers to cover up obvious alien and UFO occurrences witnessed in the downtown New York City area during the past St Patricks Day parade because everyone was drinking EXCEPT the idiot who was sitting at home in their boxer shorts dropping asinine answers on Yahoo Answers simply to annoy the hell out of The Kimmer which is, in my personal opinion, is just stupid. What was the question again?

My grandmother is on dialysis. It all depends on the person. Sometimes my grandmother urinates. Other times she does not. Some days her symptoms are bad. Other times, they are virtually not there. There are some people who never have symptoms. Other people always have them. It just depends on the person, the severity, and the circumstances.

dialysis basically are for people whose blood cant be cleaned by their own kidneys. they will run your blood in a machine then put it back to you.. they remove all the harmful toxins, or whatever you got there that shouldnt be there. yes, you will still urinate after the procedure..
