Go to the Embassy. You should always leave a color photo copy of your passport back home with someone. And take one color copy with you (keep it in a separate place from your passport obviously, so it doesn't get lost with the passport). Having the copy can make it easier/quicker to get the new one.

If you are overseas go the embassy. Here in the US you fill out a new passport app and say you lost your old.

Guess the first thing you have to do is file a police report then present yourself earliest possible to your consulate or embassy to request for an emergency travel document. Supporting documents required differs from each country so you will have to check with your own immigration department to have a complete list.

Freak out, Panic, cry, Oh My Gosh what if I get stuck in some different land lost forever, no job, no family, no identity, no way back home...... I guess pray that your life ends right then and there!......lol no.... go to the embassy of whatever nation you're from I guess and complain to them and have them help you!

Go to the nearest embassy as soon as you can and report it to them. They should be able to help you get a new one, or at least advise you on the best course of action.

you wont need to worry much about anyone useing it becuase of higher security nowadays, you just need to go and report it stolen and get a new one done, its just like its expired
