My best friend, who is only 26, has been sick for over a year now. Last October she was deemed terminally ill and is in desperate of a new heart. The only catch is last Oct. after putting a pacemaker in, she ran away from the hospital. She was pregnant at the time, so it wasn't long before she was back. They found traces of drugs in her system and took her off of the heart transplant list.

Here we are in March, her kidneys and liver started failing in December. Her gall bladder just recently started to join that list. It's been a rough roller coaster over the past two months. she has an internal bleed tha doctor's say they can't fix. she tells me she wants to live. My heart says that she can make it if she fights hard enough. The logical part of me knows that she can't survive much longer without a new heart. How do I keep my faith?

Wow! Tough situation. You have to PRAY, start a prayer chain with others who you trust with this prayer. God does not operate by logic( thankfully). Fast- for a day or two. Involve others in a fast if they are willing. God can and does perform miracles EVERY single day. Never doubt that He has the power to heal. She needs to pray, confess sins to God- not in a booth necessarily.
I will include her in my prayers this evening.

Read lots of scripture especially the psalms and the gospels. There are a lot of faith building word in there. Also, find a place where you can plug into more powerful prayer. Like an International house of Prayer or a Charismatic prayer group or community.

Your faith will be built up by being among people of faith and growing with them.

Continue to pray for your friend, but knpw that she may die.

Life here is not what it's all about...eternal life is what matters. Pray for your friends salvation. Pray that God will heal her. Pray for the baby she's carrying.

Sin has consequences...we are all subject to it. Suffering can be a great gift. I know that sounds odd...but it often brings us closer to God.

Faith is just what it is...it is believing when it seems impossible. Do not give up your faith just because God doesn't do what you think he should. That is not faith. Faith is believing that whatever happens, no matter if it makes "sense" to you or not...it is in God's hands. He sees all and knows more about the big picture then we can ever know.

You need to trust him in all things and know that he loves your friend and he is interested in her eternal life.

She can. Remeber that Jesus is King. Also i pray that you remember what Paul said. Whether it be by Life or by death i know i am His and by death or life I am His and will never be seperated from His love. People have many things they go through in life. But God knows the heart. Anoint your friend with the oil of our people, olive oil. If God never heals her, bless Him. If He dosen't ,know she isn't lost, for jesus loses not 1.
