I stay in the same town.. but I move alot in my town.. How do I get over that? Maybe I get bored? Maybe I feel uncomfortable and 'unsafe emotionally' because I was raised to fear anything I get attatched to being taken from me or used against me (I used to have real commitment issues and went through pets alot too). I am now over that and keep my pets for their whole lives and I am ready for a relationship. But I still get the urge to move. Do I just get bored?? Is that a bad thing to move alot in my own town
?

Probably just boredom. I move a lot too. In the past twenty yrs, I've lived in Minnesota, California, Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas. Mainly Ohio, where my family is. I used to wonder if something was wrong with me, but I realize I am just free spirited and need new adventures. I've lived in big cities and on several farms. The only regret I have is the expense of moving, other than that, its been fun. And I keep my family and pets with me, so its not a commitment problem. Next year, we're moving to South Carolina. It amazes me that we live in this huge country with millions of people and so many are afraid to venture further than their own neighborhood.

The best way to get beyond the "urge to move" is to purpose to live in the same place for a number of years, before actually moving again. The "urge" may still be within you, but it will lessen and you should feel more secure if you invest yourself into your home. Consider making goals for decorating, maybe you add plants or pictures or pillows or rugs or towels every month or two, and when you complete one, make a new goal for the next upgrade.
You might also do well to look at how you get along with your neighbors. Are you making friends or enemies? Are you even talking with your neighbors at all, or helping each other out, working on projects together, or making an effort to get to know them? A safe and friendly neighborhood is something pleasant to come home to.
Is it a bad thing to move alot in your own town? Start filling out job applications or loan applications - employers and lenders consider a person's stability by how long they live in the same residence just as much as your credit rating - showing how well you do at paying your bills ontime. Many apps ask if you have moved in the past 2 yrs. People considered "unstable" can have a hard time getting jobs that pay well.

Maybe you are right, maybe you are afraid to get close to someone or something, maybe you are afraid to get hurt, to lose someone. I am guessing that you had some kind of loss in your past and it has affected you internally. Until you figure out what the loss was and come to terms with it you will still feel ansy. Is there some part of you that feels you don't deserve to be loved, to be happy? Because you do. You deserve the chance to feel comfortable and to feel loved.

I call it the move itch. I get it I think it had to do with boredom. For me thou it works out alright because my husband is in the military and we move every 3-4 years. I usually get the itch to move after being some where for 2 years. So I do a dramatic rearrange in my house it usually helps calm me for another year.

Not a bad thing at all. You like change. Whats wrong with change? It is almost like me with cars, I buy one every year to year and a half or so. I get bored with my vehicle and need something new. The good thing about moving is that there is no depreciation! If your renting that is.
